Scola is the only person on the team that has a history of winning big and coming up big. Battier won a NCAA championship but he has choked it up at the Pro and International player. Yao won in China but he was playing against high school quality players. Tmac has never won anything.
Its not uncommon for NBA players to dominate at other levels before they get to the NBA. I wouldn't read too much into it, there have been great high school/international/college ball player make it to the NBA who start a history of losing. The players you mentioned are actually a pretty good example.
