HOOP (or is it POOH), maybe you were watching a different game than me. Lue demonstrated great quickness and tenacity in his defense, along with the clutching and grabbing. He demonstrated good fundamental D when he could keep up, and grabbed when he could (instead of letting Ivy breeze right past him). I want to see the same level of effort when we play the Sixers. And about the rough play being more acceptable in the paint - wait til next season. The handcheck is back! See: Ron Harper abusing Kenny Smith in 1994. Actually Lue HIMSELF said he had to hold AI to stop him. And he wasn't joking. Mr. Cassell..... Lue is quick, no doubt. I would venture to say he might be one of the quickest guards in the league. But what does that say of his defensive ability if he had to HOLD Iverson despite being fleet of foot. Anyway, the rest of the series was an indication. The refs did not allow the same tactics from Lue for the rest of the series, and Iverson had his way. Too bad the rest of the Sixers couldn't stay up at the level Iverson did. As a bit of a reminder, he DID torture him in the OT period. Remember the step back three he hit on Lue, Lue fell to the ground, and Iverson stepped over him......glaring at him. Shanversen, That's pretty close to accurate! Thanks for correcting my Harper mistake - of course I meant Derek. HOOP-T, Rox2k, of course AI got his eventually. He stepped up to the challenge like he almost always does, and overcame the pesky defense of Lue. But the point is that, at least for half a game, Ty Lue was pretty much able to frustrate the best scorer in the NBA. Now he's quick, but other than quickness, Lue isn't that talented. Plus noone is as quick as Iverson, especially when he puts the crossover on you. So to me, he accomplished alot, especially when you look at what was expected of him coming in.
