Sure they will. One of CP3 or Harden will always be on the court. We aren't solo scoring star anymore.
Let's assume for a minute that the melo deal happens. That means we have 4 good to great offensive players to stagger across a game. Should be able to keep two of them on the court at all times with two spot up shooters and a finishing big man.
ayyyyy lmao Morey you crazy . Dude really is on another level smh. With this signing I'm not sure we keep Nanu or even Troy. Truth is Luc replaces Dekker almost perfectly especially by being able to be a multi position plus defender. Is Luc the best back up forward in the league? Obviously not, but with the options left in agree agency then he was obviously one of the best. Plus, I do believe he will play minutes in the playoffs should he be with us by then. I think the only bad thing is that Luc isn't a great rebounder Patrick Beverley -> Chris Paul James Harden -> James Harden Trevor Ariza -> Trevor Ariza Ryan Anderson -> Ryan Anderson/Carmelo Anthony Clint Capela -> Clint Capela Nene -> Nene Eric Gordon -> Eric Gordon Lou Williams/Corey Brewer -> PJ Tucker Sam Dekker -> Luc Mbah a Moute Montrezl Harrell -> Tarik Black --- Morey has basically improved or remained the same at each of the 10 important places. Also, I'm surprised some people on here don't know what role Luc will play on the Rockets. Sam Dekker who is a small forward played the 4 primarily with the Rockets last season. Luc Mbah A Moute who has had seasons of playing the 4 will likely play the 4 this season and take the role of Sam Dekker.
Current Roster: Chris Paul/Isaiah Taylor James Harden/Eric Gordon Trevor Ariza/Luc Mbah a Moute/Jarrod Uthoff PJ Tucker/Zhou Qi/Cameron Oliver/Ryan Anderson*cough* Clint Capela/Nene/Tarik Black/Chinanu Onuaku Troy Williams not under contract Bobby Brown not under contract A swap of Ryan Anderson for Carmelo and suddenly we looked locked for the season.
Look at everyone hyping this signing, when for the last couple years everyone was ******** on Doc how he could never get at least an average SF for Clippers Paul/Griffin era.
I absolutely agree. The team has improved at every position. My only hesitation is the identity. PJ is better than Lou and Luc is better than Dekker. But not offensively. Hope it works out with this coaching staff. I'm optimistic it will.
Timeline. We were still very early on in the FA period during Tucker signing and everyone was expecting big signings. Now we are just hoping to get Melo done and add some good pieces from whatever is left in the pool. Personally, I was bummed about Paul George at the time and still am but it is what it.
Because everyone is addicted to names early in FA and wanted us to magically sign players that were impossible to sign and or didnt fit the team. Once they see our only options are minimum signings they start looking at value. At the time of the tucker signing people like you and me were super excited about tucker and thought he was a great fit, and others hadnt coped yet because we didnt magically come up with blake griffin who would have been bad in our system or an overpaid millsap.
I hope last year's shooting wasn't an albatross or a one year thing because I feel like defenders will still treat him like a non-shooter.
For good reason. He's not a starting caliber player. Is he starting here? Nope. He's in an absolute minimal role. Big difference. He's like a 9th man or lower here
Could we possibly sign and trade Williams to NY? He's young and pretty damn good. I'd hate to see him go but he fits what they're looking for
