He did last year, hopefully he can this year. 39% is high for anyone unless you're elite shooting wise.
Dekker is the better offensive player IMO. People always make the mistake of forgetting about volume when bringing up 3PT %, not to say Dekker was a better 3PT shooter last season, he wasn't, but Luc's 3PT shooting wasn't as special as it looks at 39% considering he only made 0.5 3's per game (Dekker made 0.8 per game). Dekker is a great finisher around the rim, has some decent ball handling skills. Luc is a solid finisher around the rim, has very bad handles. Another advantage Dekker has over Luc is rebounding, Dekker was literally over 2x the better rebounder last season (10.9% vs 5.3%) Luc is definitely the better defender though.
he's got some very underrated defense. he doesn't score, rebound, steal or block... but he forces guys into poor shooting nights as good as anyone else in the league. most posters in this thread see him as a 3rd string SF. he played SF in LAC, but in MDA's system i think he's our backup PF. makes a solid stretch 4 on offense but imagine the switching ability on defense with a lineup of capela, luc, ariza, tucker, cp3. i see the depth chart and minutes distribution like this: capela (28) - nene/black (20) ryno (24) - luc (18) - qi (0) ariza (30) - tucker (24) harden (34) - gordon (28) - troy (0) cp3 (34) - taylor (0) - brown (0)
It will be interesting to see who guards PF's the most between Ariza, Tucker and Luc. I'm sure all will take turns, but Tucker has the most sand in his pants so i'm guessing he'll get most of the bigger matchups.
You guys getting on Nimo like you all have forgotten the injury history of Paul and Gordon. Both of those guys miss games every year due to some injury whether it's the big toe, hamstring or whatever. The Rockets need another offensive player off the bench instead of hoping Gordon and Paul is injury free throughout the year.
84% of people who voted liked the PJ Tucker signing. I'm not making that number up, there was a poll in that thread. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/index.php?threads/pj-tucker-a-rocket.283778/ This signing is even better because it's much cheaper.
Yeah I just don't buy into that especially knowing who our GM is... I guess your saying Bobby Brown is untouchable to?
This is off topic but look at JaMychal Green's agent: http://basketball.realgm.com/info/agent-client-list/Michael-Hodges/110
Never thought I would be this excited for signing luc but I am seems like everybody we are signing is a good solid pick up lol hell let's sign some scrub from the loca LA fitness and I would get excited...this is one hell of a off-season and I'm sure we ain't even close to being done yet. Back up PG Melo One more big man
