And then it's Melo rolling the red carpet for his man as he looks for highly motivated Capela (who cant wait for the season to be over so that he bolts) and yells, "Wheres the ***** help??"
Probably but maybe not. Anderson could be dealt for Bazemore or even Batum. Either one of those guys plus Ennis isn’t a big down grade defensively.
Getting Otto Porter is going to cost us Eric Gordon, and at this point, I don't think that's something I'm comfortable with.
His shoulder and Ariza got us WC home court advantage. We needed both those players to get that advantage. The real ???? was when Paul injured his hammy. It is not a #RunItBack no, not hardly. Can Melo even get us WC home court??
If you can’t recognize the defensive abilities that Luc and Ariza offered, then so be it. Melo’s inefficient scoring will not offset his far worse defensive play. That is beyond obvious.
To be fair on that play Steven Adams needs to help. What is he doing followin NeNe that far out of the paint.. And Capela will be motivated if he takes his QO cuz he’s playing for his pay day.
in a switch everything defensive you have to be able to show that you can hold your own. hes not sending him to adams. he just gets beat with ease bc he can't play defense out there.
After losing Ariza and Luc, having Melo come off the bench isn't enough. We have to have some more firepower, and Gordon fits that role perfectly.
you realize he was guarding james harden right? The hardest player to guard in the league and no he was right , adams is supposed to help. Melo has to protect from harden going left because harden is better going left. He got by him on the right. At that point adams is supposed to help defend. You can easily see in the video his technique is to keep him from going to his left. He is defending him expecting adams. That was not crappy defense. It was adams lapsing with no communication. Rockets run this style of defense routinely with capela as the help defender.
