Wilson Chandler should be bought out by Philly according to rumors so he'd be a viable option. You guys are so tense, relax.
Nobody's saying that Melo and Mbah a Moute are the same player. That would be absurd, and I don't know why posters keep making that assumption. They provide two completely different strengths as athletes, but that doesn't mean Melo's contributions to the team would necessarily be less. Also, I think there are still role players left who could bring defense to the table if Morey feels the perimeter D is lacking.
Honestly, I was concerned about bringing back Luc with that trick shoulder of his. Morey ain't done yet people.
Remind me... How much is Ryan Anderson making and counting against the salary cap? Also remind me... Why did we lose both Ariza and Luc?
****. I thought we could survive losing Ariza because Prince Luc could take his place defensively, but now... Last year our greatest strength was our defense at the 3/4 spot and now we are ****ing beyond DONE. Is there even a free agent left that we can use to replace either of these 2 players in terms of defense left?!
At least we won't have to listen to the idiotic national commentators/analysts that don't know the "M" is silent.
I guess our crunch time lineup is hopefully Capela, Tucker, Gordon, Harden and Paul? Not bad at all. Basically no more Tucker at center lineups, we need him playing the 3 or 4. Carmelo in the rotation will help as well, but yeah still missing a solid wing defender. We don't necessarily need someone to play 36 minutes a night or anything, but it would be good to have a rotational SF for depth and possibly starting against guys like LeBron, Durant, Kawhi etc.
I hope Luc isn't mad enough to not come back... the one year deal makes him a buyout candidate (like Ariza and Jordan).
GG gets more PT. I rather have Melo over Luc and Ariza. I have more respect for Luc than Ariza, who snuggled the Suns right after a breakup. I can't blame them at their age for going for money over rings. Rockets can only pay so much.
