It's funny because it's clear they don't actually watch Rockets games. We don't *really* iso that much outside of KPj on occasion. And even he's cut it down a lot. Most of Jabari's issues have more to do with him being a rookie than anything. Funny how the first month was how the Magic were absolutely right in taking Paolo first should Mathurin have gone higher hurr durr BS and now it's like "see this is why we shouldn't jump to conclusions about rookies". Also...what happened to the historic 21 draft class? When Scottie/Mobley were doing well it's all people talked about. Now that Jalen is clearly the best of the crop, it's crickets. Haven't heard Herb Jones name in a while.

no way did he actually say Eason doesn’t impact winning…I should disregard this whole thing if that was actually said we have a +0.3 net rating when he’s on…-10.8 when he’s off pretty much everyone else aside from Boban who I discount is in the negatives when on court
Bill Simmons pulled this same crap last year, arguing that Green didn’t deserve to be a top 5 rookie because of our record, but did not apply the same criteria to Cade or Franz. Sorry, this is just a sensitive subject for me.
He's right about KPJ and Nix and Gordon, but dead wrong about Tari. Also, no word at all about Sengun?
The clip is mostly Givony giving his takes. Most of which you already hear on these boards. He threw out two names, Andrew Nemhard and Walker Kessler.. Andrew Nembhard is actually playing really well. He's the type of PG most Rockets fans are asking for. Walker Kessler is also playing well, but idk if he'll add much more to his game. A double-double shot blocking center. Nice, but limited. That type of production can be replicated. Tari's potential is way higher with a unique and versatile skillset. His production is already comparable to those two. Anyway, It's dumb to use wins as a comparison between rookies on playoff hopefuls to a rookie on a rebuilding team, as if the they are the ones driving success.
The point of the podcast was to talk about rookies; that's why Givony was on. They just quickly mentioned those other 3 quickly as players who make the Rockets difficult to watch.
Just another reason why we say no one respects Houston sports with dumb takes like these calling out Jalen last year and saying Tari doesn't do anything to help us win
Christ…. No need to be sensitive by other peoples’ opinion on the Rockets. Lowe really likes Eason but Givony is taking a more cautious approach since how terrible the Rockets are. They both are tired of watching KPJ air out the ball and to a lesser extent Green. I really can’t argue against anything they said in regards to the Rockets.
If you can't argue against Eason being outside the Top 11 rookies, then I don't know what to tell you.
That take on Eason reminded me about Silas. Two people paid professionally regarding the nba who don’t know shtt… not that I thought Givonys big boards have been all that great anyway but he cemented why I shouldn’t read any o his articles now for sure.
