it's too early to tell if we have any playoffs chances. Have you seen our lopsided roster? You just can't have that many power forwards. I'm worried if no big deal goes through we end up trading somebody I like for peanuts just for the sake of a balanced roster. Don't get me wrong, I know Morey is okay with disparities, but as of now it's not even close.

    This is insane.

Rockets have been mediocre forever and their fans love to stay that way ...

This thread is blind optimism. With our current roster, even with the addition of Asik, we are still not good enough to compete with the top 8 of the West.

That ONE photo of Martin smiling during a loss was not fair. The others who were smiling were facing away from the camera. Can you say during all of the losses we had last year, you didn't smile or laugh once during the entire game? No way that happened, unless you watch all of the games alone. But even then you must of smiled at least once at something stupid Clyde said. That game was over, we were getting beat badly, people are social creatures. It doesn't mean K-Mart care...it was nothing. Just blown out of proportion by fans looking for someone to blame for our mediocrity. The guy was hurt and tried to play through it and didn't make excuses. If Gogi had done the same, we'd be praising him.

    Yep

    How many PF's are enough?

I wont be fooled before next yrs draft. There will be no trading up for a high lotto pick. (They will probably already have their own.) Or some mgical trade for a superstar. Although Morey (the carnival barker) will send out all kinds of signs to get fans hopes up. (He does this every yr before the draft and trade deadline.)

No, it's time to rebuild around a C that cant shoot, a PG that very well could be a flash in the pan. (Lin) But will keep the Asian $$$$ flowing in for Les. And 10 other PF's on the team.

BTW, I like the Lamb/White picks. But I just wanted to show the other side of the coin. Les walked into 2 championships and has spent the better part of 2 decades collecting $$$$ off of them.

Who says the direction was to make the playoffs this year? I think the direction is to build the youth of this team and talent up. Regardless if that means losses.
