Lou Williams traded to Rockets for Corey Brewer, first round pick

Made me sad too, I really liked Brew in college at Florida, I was young at the time.

My best friend is from Minnesota, I was excited for him that they got Corey.

When he came to the Rockets I was elated, then my fandom for his game has gradually waned.

Feels bad to see the love he has for our organization, while we're all so happy to get rid of him.

Hopefully they will bring Corey back when his career is over and give him a role in the organization.

Just making sure you're not being ignorant about players just because they had a birthday this past year and are now into their early EXTREMELY 30's.

 

It's starting to hit me that Corey will be gone. Sure he missed a lot of shots, but everyone does in a 3 point offense. The truth is the guy played his butt off, ran hard, tried his best to make things happen, but the twilight series was coming to an end. It sucks to lose a player that liked Houston, but improvement is improvement. Geaux ROX.

@tinman that Lin comparison wasn't fair. Corey never did anything against Houston. He played hard, but his shot was just off. He never talked bad about his team in passive aggressive ways and he never lost an important game for us with idiocy. It's just different.

 

Nope. Just figured we could have gotten Williams with a 2nd round pick in lieu of the 1st because he is 30 in order to still have a decent run at Chandler or Gallinari.

 

I guess this trade wipes out the Ennis for Beasley. We now broke even?

I would say the best if they stay healthy. Now we just need to straight trade Ennis for someone like Beasley but I don't think a team is that dumb to do that. Do that and then get a defensive center.
