He was released because he was terrible and boring. He can join the political bedlam that is Fox News. He can even write a book, maybe this one can be called A Bold Fresh Piece of Garbage.
Is Dobbs going to be interested in focusing on business again? That is what Dobbs used to do earlier in his career at CNN. If so, then this would be a great fit for the Fox Business Channel, and also for Lou Dobbs. Or is interested he committed to continuing focusing on politics? If that is the case, then Fox Business probably is not a good fit for him.
Fox Business is still Fox; expertise isn't exactly relevant. They have Beck, O'Reilly, Hannity, Van Susteren, Kilmeade, Kelly, Rivera all on Fox News Channel. As for Fox Business Channel, when did Don Imus get his MBA?
If all you guys have to contribute to this conversation are the same old worn out routine liberal partisan talking points about Fox, then I guess I am out.
No kidding. He's been auditioning for a Fox job for months now. The guy used to pretend to be "fair and balanced," but now is damned near impossible to watch. Smart move by CNN. Wonder who they'll replace him with?
aye yo, MojoMan, I'm really happy for you and ima let you finish, but Fatty had one of the best "I'm not gonna post here anymore" tantrums of all time.
Good for Fox Business; he'd be a less boring version of Neil Cavuto, and a less effeminate version of Larry Kudlow ("mustard seedssss!").
Funny, I'm not fat, rich or elite. But I'm white. Must make me a Republican / Conservative. I have been following this board for a long time, and I must say you sir are a ^%$%&#$#$. p.s. To bad for CNN, they just lost their only balanced news anchor.
I think you need to work on your reading comprehension. He wasn't saying that all fat, rich, elite, or white people were Republicans. He was saying that all Republicans are either fat, rich, or white. As for Dobbs being balanced, you obviously never saw him discuss immigration. The guy seems to hate Latinos.
That's too bad. I haven't watched him much lately but I always enjoyed watching Lou Dobbs. He would get pretty worked up about immigration but overall I thought he had one of the better opinion based segments on television. I enjoyed his debates on trade especially, he always fought for fair trade rather than free trade and always shot down the notion that anything but free trade was protectionism.
When Fox has something different to contribute then maybe the talking points about FOX will change. However they just have the same partisan talking points over and over again. If they don't change, why should valid criticism of them change.
What's funny to me is that because Dobbs (who sucks) took a different stance on immigration and the "birther issue" (also dumb) the liberals hate him and say he belongs on Fox. I guess the only way you deserve to work for CNN is if all your beliefs line up with the democratic party? I seem to recall dems/liberals on this board ripping up Republicans for not loving John McCain and not thinking he was a real conservative (back when it was still ok for a democrat to like John McCain) for not holding fast to every Republican idea.
