Our 2 picks and KT for Yao Ming. Seems to be our best deal.

Cat...IMO, if the Bucks don't get to the finals this year, either George Karl is going to go or G Rob and/or Cassell are going to go. My guess would be G Rob given that they just signed Sam to a pretty "cheap" deal given his talent. I have been reading all year long that the Bucks would love to unload G Rob and get Tim Thomas into the starting lineup. I think G Rob would make a great addition to our team if in fact we have the chance to get him.

If one of those 2 picks is the one from Toronto, then we dont have it just yet...they are not in the playoffs as of today unless i read the standings incorrectly. That being said, I'm not totally sold on these chinese guys and their ability (or lack thereof) when they get to the NBA. I'd rather see the Rockets go for the best player available if they moved into the top 3. From what I am reading, Qyntel Woods might be the gem of the draft and he could very well be there at 3 or 4.

Granted, I have been reading that this guy Yao Ming is the best thing to come out of the orient since the massage parlor so maybe he's worth the pick..."OK, you frip ova now"

Cat, do you prefer players that don't play defense?

    JayZ750,

david robinson and sean elliot - their two best players - both were "out for the season".

their lineup included scrubs. the leading scorer was a graying, decrepit dominique wilkins and monty williams. mo malone was on that team for crying out loud!! vernon maxwell was on that team!! this team sucked...and they were tanking by holding out their best player and having their 2nd best player injured (cannot confirm if sean was really hurt).

    bottom line,

they didn't have to say: go lose. it was a foregone conclusion given the crappy lineup the spurs CHOSE to put out there.

    how is that NOT tanking???

David Robinson had fully recovered from back ailments with over 20 games to go in the season, he was seen playing golf on several occasions.

The Spurs DECIDED to hold him out for the remainder of the season...just to be sure...(wink wink)

I would love to get Glenn Robinson. But we're stuck with another Glen at the 3. Prob'ly better to focus on Lamar or Rashard.

Can we sweet-talk the Bulls (cap space team) into taking Mr Rice off our hands?

given a choice of odom or lewis, the answer, IMO, is easy: odom.

lewis is a great 3 point shooter, but with steve and cat on this team, i'd much rather add a tall ballhandler that could free steve and cat up to play the wings on offense. defensively, that person could matchup with the taller 3s and let cat and steve handle the guards. that person needs to be an unselfish ballhandler...the anti-steve...that person is lamar odom.

dont read my post skip to the next one below.

    .

odom is imposible to get..the reason isnt the high trade value, its becuz the clipps dont want to help their competition rockets get better and they get worse,'

they have a better team ,why would they want to get worse?
    dooling/mcginnis/quentin
    miles/magette/odom/quentin
    odom/miles/folkes
    brand
olowocandi/okezie..btw kezie sucks, hes the player clipps would give us..
+they get two more lottery picks,

ironically 24 hours i stated "lose on purpose" well that didnt go over well..so you are all offically hypocrits..maybe thats why we didnt trade 37 hakeem for tmac?

Odom isn't impossible to get, but another team might make a better offer for him. The thing about keeping/appeasing Brand is that he might want to see some effort on the part of management to improve the team, keep the core together (which could be done if they build around Brand and Miles, I guess).

Who said **** about Darius Rice? I'm sure he's a fine player. Which young player do you want us to draft though? Stoudamire or Rice?

Just because someone is foreign, doesn't mean he's less of a prospect. That era is over. There are 5 billion ppl in the world. It's not fair to assume that Americans below 21 years of age are better bets to ebcome good players.

Don't be sold on Yao Ming, because he's going to be a huge bust in his first year. But that's when he shakes it off and becomes a top 5 C in the league, barring injuries, which is why we need to keep Cato. Limit his minutes.

We can not get Darius Rice or Amare Stoudamire unless we unload some players. We're stacked up at every position. Where do you suggest these players play?

You don't just leave players to rot. It's just how the game is.

Clutch, I am not sure if you are suggesting tanking or not, but your post makes it sound like it.

I, for one, never want to see a Rockets team tank. Let's leave that to the rest of the league. Let's play to win, and get the pick that we deserve.

    That's just my opinion.
