If I remember right, the producers/writers of LOST have nothing to do with the enhanced version. They're made by ABC and have contained errors in the past. I wouldn't take any "revelations" not explained elsewhere in the series as canon. On a somewhat similar note, I don't know when, but I'll probably start watching the series again from the beginning sometime soon. I did the same thing between Seasons 5 and 6 so this will be the 3rd or 4th (or 5th/6th) time I've seen most of these episodes. My question for everybody is, how do you think the knowledge of the finale and the entire 6th season is going to affect repeated viewings of earlier episodes? Do you think it will add to the show to watch it from a different perspective or do you think that knowing how it ends will ruin some of the stuff that was going on in seasons 1 and 2?
I watched it off & on. I taped it, so tomorrow I'll watch it before 6 pm. There is 1 thing that has been puzzling me for while. Richard was sold into servatude in the Canary Islands which is off the NW coast of Africa in the mid Atlantic. I don't remember where the Black Rock was headed & Richard hasn't hinted to how long he was at sea or how many ports they stopped at before the storm. The Lost flight was from Sydney to LA. My question is how a ship supposedly in the Atlantic & a plane supposedly over the Pacific crash onto the same island?
Remember that the Island moves. When the Oceanic 6 were able to leave the island, after being rescued by Penny, they went to the island of Sumba in Indonesia. When they tried to get back, Ms. Hawking told them that the Island moves and that the Dharma station "The Lamp Post" was used to find out where it would be and where. She then told them that they had to be on a specific flight at a specific time to get there. They were headed to Guam. But Guam is between LA and Indonesia which was the general location of the Island when they left. To answer your other question, I'm pretty sure the Black Rock was headed to "the New World".
in the episode "The Constant," the auctioneer selling Captain Hanso's journal explains that The Black Rock set sail from Portsmouth England in 1845 on its way to the Kingdom of Siam, present day Thailand. then they introduced the whole 1867 Canary Islands story so who knows. he did say She was tragically lost at sea and they did not know the year...
Something that just occurred to me. The scenes with Jack seeing the cut on his neck in the mirror. First he saw it on the plane but only in the reflection and not on his actual neck. In the last episode he again saw it in the mirror and it was bigger and this time we saw it on his actual neck as well. When he discovered his appendix scar, he was looking in the mirror too. Apparently, others have notice mirror scenes in all the episodes this season in the sideways time line. So thinking back, the show has made some references to Alice in Wonderland in the past. We had episodes called "White Rabbit" and "Through the Looking Glass" in addition to references in other episodes. David was even reading "Alice in Wonderland" in the episode "Lighthouse". I'm thinking that the alt time line and it's relevancy to the Island time line parallels the concept of the book "Through The Looking Glass" where Alice literally steps through a mirror to enter an alternate reality. Just some thoughts.

Just scheduled it on my dvr and is the 6-8:00 show just going to be a catchup of season 6? Is it going to have extra insider commentary like a narrated "enhanced" episode or anything like that?
I think from the info... it says it's about the cast just talking about Lost itself. It's called Lost: The Final Journey. Here's the description.
i thought miles could only find out what they were thinking or feeling at the time of death. hurley is the only one who can fully communicate with the dead. unless the writers made it so miles's capabalities now include talking to the dead.
Was thinking about starting a new thread about when everyone started watching lost but don't care to waste space. I personally started watching lost in the middle of the second season. The first episode I watched was when the Oceanic Crew were surrounded by the "others" and they lit up the torches to make the Oceanic crew feel like they were outnumbered.
i watched the pilot again yesterday and there was a scene when they first introduced the female flight attendant. the "notes" said she survived the plane crash but was in the tail section. that didn't make sense because wasn't she with the security guy knocking on the lavatory trying to get Charlie to come out? it was at that point that the plane started hitting the turbulence. how did she get to the back of the plane then?
My prediction. Smokey dies because Sawyer kills him.... Jack and the crew figure out a way to kill Flocke... some light thing happens and then they all return to their normal lives like the flashes have been happening except the flashes are the future so then what's actually been happening in the flashes is like the end of whats to come... and then they all remember the island. Oh, and the island disappears.
I was kidnapped in late November and brainwashed in Room 23 to watch the entire Series by early February. I finished Season 5 in late January and hooked up my HDTV literally the morning of the Season 6 Premiere. so my experience with LOST has been total immersion. I have been going back and watching random episodes, whether by referral here, or to answer any questions or theories floating around. this season, I would try and watch a corresponding episode from Season 1, depending on who the central character was in each episode. Or I would watch all of the character centric episodes in a row, like the Desmond episodes for instance. GREAT contributions here, by the way. I can really appreciate an audience that stuck around for six years to watch a show that is so addictive, leaving all these lingering questions. I can only imagine what it was like waiting in between seasons for answers. it's good to be in the same boat with the rest of the LOST audience, finally. IT ONLY ENDS ONCE!
I'm excited about watching the finale.. but I also think there's a 50/50 chance that it's going to end sopranos style and make everyone left hanging intentionally. That.would.suck.
There definitely was a big disparity in the two Black Rock stories we were given during the show. Even LOST isn't perfect. Tonight should make things definite, but I still believe the Island doesn't move - the Island is Narnia/Wonderland/Oz...not a physical location on Earth (why you can't just sail away and leave - Desmond Snowglobe Theory). I think there are multiple portal points...and those portal points shift over time. Remember the sudden night-day shift when the Guam flight arrived. The LOST braintrust have been swearing up and down that would not be the case - that we will have a resolute conclusion.
I feel like watching it without the commercials.... just gonna wait a few minutes after 10:30 for the internet release.
I don't know if it's just my anticipation, but the commercial breaks don't seem as long to me as they normally do.
