How come Locke is so strong that he barely moved when Sayid stabbed him and bullets either passed through him or bounced off, but he can be pushed into the water? It is almost like he is George Reeves as Superman.
he probably expected to be stabbed/be shot so he probably prepared himself for that...not sure if he can make his body smoke partially or what. I'm sure FLocke knew sawyer would try to cross him but not sure in what matter so he was taken a bit off guard when Jack of all people shoved him in the water. So you can subscribe to that theory OR he let himself get pushed into the water to let the candidates believe they were in control of the situation when they actually weren't. He got them all in the sub with a bomb what he wanted in the first place.
Because it's going to be awesome when enlightened Desmond meets island Jack and probably sets off the events that finally tie both realities together.
Pretty decent theory. I hear another one that says Locke will remember everything in the alt timeline and maybe he'll make some comeback in the island one. Probably once he gives in and allows Jack to operate on him. I personally think this next episode will answer the most questions with the last three mostly wrapping up the story. Mostly.
meh... they're asian. plenty of extended family to raise their kid. on top of that, they're family is ridiculously wealthy. wealthy kids are used to not having their parents around much or at all. besides, how else are they going to get the girl to come to the island? she's gonna want to know where/why her parents died.
I kinda get the feeling that this will end up like the X-Files did. with lots of unanswered questions and a movie that comes out later to answer everything.
Jin and Sun are dead. but it isn't as if their child has nobody to take care of her. Sun's father is a wealthy CEO. Many times wealthy kids are raised by nannies, sent to boarding school (where they only see their parents maybe once or twice a year), etc. So, parents dead or alive, she probably would've been raised almost the same way. There is also still the possibility that Jin and Sun's child is a candidate since the name on the wall was merely "Kwon" without specifying which Kwon. So, even if smokey/flocke is successful at killing everyone on the island, he may not be able to leave since the little Kwon is safe back in Seoul or LA.
Maybe, though I think you're discounting that the child isn't on the island at all. I don't think its her. In the Kwons defense, there wasn't any guarantee that Jin would ever get off the island. He hadn't yet since he first crashed there.
Why did Locke stop them from activating the C4 on the airplane? Did he know that Kate was going to get shot on the way to the sub and that they wouldn't be able to find a first aid kit, forcing Jack to open the backpack and find the bomb, at which point Sawyer would lose it and force the detonation? Seems like he should have just let everybody go up in a big fireball on the plane.
Jack wouldn't have gotten on the plane for sure... and maybe neither would have sawyer (as he always wanted to take the sub). Flocke knows that and needs C4 to get on the sub with them. Thus, he disarms the plane, allows the losties to concoct their plan, allows Jack to push him in the water, foresees gunfire near the sub that will shoot somebody (thereby leading jack to help and get on the sub), and wallah..... instant party.
But what good is an awakened Locke since he's been dead since season 5? Unless in his afterlife he's been made privy to everything (secrets and island current events) the last thing the real Locke knew was that they were time skipping right? The bomb didn't go off in his life, and all the MIB/Jacob discoveries made by the audience are still theoretical to Locke.
You're somewhat right, but the fake Locke at least carries some of the real Locke's memories so I have to think it means something.
