It came across this way to me because it was Flocke who planted the bomb on the sub in the first place. He was trying to kill them all but knew he didnt finish the job.
Flocke could have crossed her off on purpose to fool Sawyer. Flocke might be the source of the original Jacob's list as well.
Spoiler In the promo there was a scene with MIB (or was it FLOCKE?) with a white pebble and a black pebble. It looked like they were playing checkers. I dont recall seeing that scene in any episode before that
This is the only place I feel safe from spoilers at this point. Let's pray it stays that way. Question: How could Sawyer have essentially killed himself when it was proven by Jack and Richard in the Black Rock that a candidate couldn't do that? Kwon lives!
I went back and looked, Spoiler the promo shows the MIB and Jacob in never seen footage playing backgammon. they were next to a well with a ladder going down.
If you're talking about the bomb exploding because Sawyer pulled the wires...technically he can't kill himself, if the rules are in fact a candidate cannot kill himself/herself, BUT by him having (or whoever else would have) pulled the wires, like Flocke intended, technically is allowed to kill everyone else. That's a pretty efficient job of killing the majority of the candidates right there in one big swoop. If Sayid hadn't of ran off with the bomb, Sawyer would have been the only one left remaining, thanks to the rules and be the sole remaining candidate, which is hinted that Flocke knew there would still be atleast 1 person alive by what he said at the end with his conversation with Claire about how he knew "they all weren't dead". I could be totally wrong here, and part of Flocke's abilities is just knowing these types of things, who's dead, who's alive, and what not but this explanation would go along with the rules and the fact that he knew people were still alive despite not being able to see the sub sink or the explosion go off because candidates can't kill themselves.
dude holy ****in **** that was a crazy episode i figured they would have some people start dying soon but to have 3 main characters go out in a 10 minute span? crazy i guess speculation that kate probably will pass on soon, she was shot and just was swimming through salt water that cant be good for a wound i would think
Here's something that some how didn't dawn on me until watching tonight's episodes is if the flashes are to the alt. timeline of them leaving the island, as from what I read on other boards....this timeline is a fruition of the theory that the MIB escapes the island, who is Locke in this timeline? I mean Locke is dead in island time, and the Locke being portrayed in the alt. is most certainly is not MIB? Is he the real John Locke and how? Great episode tonight, no filler, no BSing us with nonsense...good ol' fashion season 1 & 2 style LOST. I really like the alt. timeline by the way. Having the whole coincidence thing going with everyone running into each other...it's seriously like watching a new tv series from the beginning
3?! I thought the Lapedis character and his "I could careless about what's going on" groan was the heart and soul of this show!
I think Kate lives, the producers seem to think she is a main character up on the levels of Jack, Locke, and Sawyer. I would rather have Kate die in this episode than Jin/Sun. Sayid throughout the season has been a zombie so he's been dead. What a tragic end for Jin/Sun though. Be separated for 3 years then get reunited for about 10 hours before dying. Honestly I would have felt sadder if it were not for the Timeline X, where Jin/Sun are still alive and happily together. Unlike others who hate Timeline X, I think whatever revelation they will come to in Timeline X will be huge. Obviously something is not right here, it is one of the few remaining bug mysteries on this show.
This show just proves over and over that it's the greatest show in the history of TV. Number two: Twin Peaks.
Man what an episode! I teared up. Rare that a show can do that. It sucked seeing the Kwons go. I always liked Sayid, but felt he was lost a while back this season. It was good to see him earn redemption though. Also, man I hated Sawyer when he didn't listen. That guy has been killing me this season. I hope now he starts manning up and takes care of business. I'm also a little curous about Lepidus. I know he wasn't on the beach, but I would think the producers would've at least made it clear that he went down with the boat. They had to know fans would expect it. Most characters that have died have had deaths that can't be refuted. It was interesting that Sayid told Jack he was The One. I wonder if he knew more than the others? Lastly, next week's preview did look like it contained new clips. Man what an episode.
Yea I hated him too, but I knew he was going to pull the wires. His character is just not the type to just let the bomb explode, and there was no way Jack was going to convince him not too in less than short time period by just saying "trust me". Next week's episode should be pretty epic. I like the episodes with the original MIB and Jacob, and now hopefully we'll learn more about the 2 of them, their back stories, the rules, and if in fact during any of the previous centuries if they were gay lovers.
Ha! On Sawyer though, I was hoping he would come around. Jack has actually been making sense to me this season while Sawyer has just been an idiot. Another thing, I don't care how annoyed people are with Kate, man she is gorgeous.
