i think in season 2 when michael and his son (i cant remember his name for some reason) are at the others camp and there is the "gypsy" lady that tells michael stuff i think around that area of the island they showed a large foot from a statue that was destroyed and all that was left was a foot that was the only other ruins i could think of
Yeah, that's the infamous four toed statue that Sayid saw when they were using Desmond's sailboat. I remember reading initially that they were debating whether to have the foot have four or six toes, just as long as it didn't have five. They decided that four was creepier. I remembered after I wrote that comment that last season, Ben told Richard and the Others to meet him at the "Temple." I'm pretty sure that the ruins we saw tonight was what he was referring to.
I'm very sorry to say...this show is losing me. I'm losing interest quickly. Anyone else just starting to feel that way now? The jumping around loses continuity...a lot of the big picture mystery is gone...I don't get a great sense of the conflict that's left. I'm watching because my wife is addicted and because I know the characters...I've already invested time in it.
The show isn't losing me at all. I'm really digging getting some answers and are pissed every time the show is over.
Shows not losing me at all , think its great we are finally getting a lot of answers to long running questions.
Next week looks to give us more answers. We should finally find out how people leave and come back to the island.
The part I don't get is how this fellow (Christian is it...or Jack's father) ends up in the wheel room with Locke when it's sealed off. And, where the hell is Claire? Are father and daughter floating around in some other dimension or something most the time and only come out when they have something to say? This stuff might make more sense to me...if I was on LSD. lol. I'm following but still have a lot of WTFs left. The real big question I have is why these people need to go back to the island to stop the time shifts? That is some weird sh_t. The island is out of balance or something because the only person who can leave the island is the person who turns the wheel...if you have to turn the wheel. Everyone else has to stay put or in the water just off the island. The O6 flew off in a helicopter and screwed it all up. Whatever???
I'm thinking they won't come back next week but maybe the week after or the week after that. There are still some things they need to show first. Locke's activities off the island. Daniel working at the Orchid and telling young Charlotte not to come back to the island. Plus, Jack and Benry still need to get Hurley, Sayid, Kate and Aaron which is no small task. My guess is that everyone will get together by the end of this next episode and they'll actually start the process of going back the week after and even then, might not make it back until the week after that.
Jack's dad is dead remember? That's not really Christian, it's a manifestation of the smoke monster. The smoke monster has the ability to trick people into believing dead people are alive. Examples include Montand when he fell in the temple and had that calm voice, and Yemi right before Eko died. The smoke monster manifesting itself as other people is the "sickness" Rosseau always talked about. I also read on some message boards that the french guy's eyes turn black right before he attempts to shoot young Rosseau. As for Claire, I think she's still at Jacob's cabin. I'm starting to think that Adam and Eve (the two skeletons in that cave they found) are actually Jack and Kate (or Aaron and Ji-Yeon), but dead in the past. How crazy would that be if the whole Lost series ended with Jack and Kate dying next to each other in that cave?
i cannot remember, but did this happen before in a flashback or something in a previous episode and they showed it? i know charlotte mentions that daniel told her as a child this past week, but i'm wondering if they had shown footage of this before.
they didnt show that part but on the season premiere it started off with showing Daniel working in the Orchid in the past when Hanso brushed past him as Dharma was building the orchid
AH! that's what it was! i could've sworn i had seen faraday in a flashback but i didn't think i saw him talk to any young girl.. thanks! i find these weird 'loops' very annoying.. for example.. faraday will tell young charlotte to not come back to the island or she'll die.. but he only does this because older charlotte tells faraday that he told her he did this. he doesn't know what she's talking about it seems like, and we know it hasn't happened yet (to the faraday we're watching). it just keep going in a loop like this.. since faraday knows now that charlotte comes back and dies anyway, is he still going to tell her the same thing? will he change it up? will him changing what he says or does change whether charlotte comes back or not in the future?
The thing is, Daniel is the expert on the subject and he was the one telling the losties about "course correction" and how it's impossible to actually change anything. How Desmond wouldn't open the hatch door for Sawyer because they knew Desmond never met any of them until later. If it didn't happen, it won't happen. He of all people should be the one to realize that trying to warn a young Charlotte is futile.
so christian (jack's dad) is some sort of a voice, or manifestation of jacob right? i'm assuming jacob is using christian's body because he came to the island on that plane as a corpse. when locke's corpse comes back to the island, will it also come 'back to life' as a ghost type of form and speak for jacob and crap? or will he come back to life?
I may be wrong...but I'm thinking once Locke is brought back to the island...he will come back to life and be walking around again...similar to how he could walk when he was paralyzed after crash landing on the island. I may be wrong but it doesn't seem like Locke will stay dead. Does anyone think the same thing...or why am I off-base (assuming I'm wrong)? Edit: Funny...airbulllard read my mind. I am waiting for them to explain just what the smoke monster is, how it was born, etc. . versus it is around to defend this, it manifests into this, etc. . I wonder if we ever get those answers? I don't want an answer like "bong hit gone awry", either.
i would've thought that they wouldn't have locke die because he's a big character and there's still another season to go.. of course him dying doesn't mean he won't be a part of the show, in ghost form or something. but i thought they'd keep him 'alive' along with the other losties..
