The Jin thing tripped me up too, even though the hints were there, the cell phone and the dragon. 2000 was the last year of the dragon and it wasn't 2012. On the other hand, I saw a Naruto in the toy store. Despite that I still was confused. Good writing making the flash back and flash forward seem to be the same story. Sad that Jin dies, he was one of the characters that was really disliked season 1, but was much more interesting and likable as the series went on. Killing a dad off before their daughter is born? that just ain't right.
The flash forwards seem to moving back towards the rescue time. So I agree that this one probably takes place before the others. Did that make sense? Eh, my head hurts.
Ben and Jin. But from the looks of it Ben isn't considered one of the six(Since he wasn't on the plane)
I don't think Aaron counts either since he was not born yet. I guess we could derail the thread and get into a debate about when life starts. But let's not. I wonder where the writer's stand on this issue.
I think they're gonna make it more cut and dry. Since Jin's dead, maybe the last member of the Oceanic 6 is......Locke? Now that would be something: a man trapped in a wheelchair before the crash is miraculously healed upon arriving on the island but, due to some poor decision making and the hunger to live in his own fantasy world, gets sent back from whence he came. As you can tell, I have a hatred for Locke.
I've read from many places that Aaron doesn't count, but I dunno. They said the last of the Oceanic 6 would be revealed tonight. Sucks that this season is shortened too, plus we have that break to deal with, I think after next week's episode.
Remember when Jack testified at Kate's Trial? Well he lied and said that only 8 people survived the crash, but later 2 died.. So I'm thinking Jin was either apart of the lie that he was one of the 2 that died, or he just died in the "crash." Two possibilties here: 1) He is really dead 2) He was left on the island
I noticed 2004 on the tomb, immediately knew that he wasn't returning to the real world alive. Knew something was up with the dragon, but didn't have the sense to double check the date. Nice call. Given that in both island time and freighter time, we're in the last days of 2004, it'd stand to reason that Jin's not making it through this season alive. His line "I'll do whatever it takes to protect you and the baby" was some obvious foreshadowing - I suppose he's going to take a bullet for them soon. Off island, seems that Jin will be one of two factored into the "8" of whom only 6 survive to be rescued. Claire seems like the obvious choice for the other one. Oceanic 6: Jack Kate Hurley Sayid Sun (Aaron) If Kate comes off the island with baby in arms, I'd think the media will count him towards the 6. They see 6, they call it 6. Ben must be smuggled off somehow, maybe with the aid of Sayid or Miles. I don't think Juliette gets off. Evan
Spoiler DUDE! it's the date of the crash! For some reason I have hope that Jin is alive. Lost should probably kill someone else off. Can't wait till next week.
Nooo, not Jin man! I really liked his character! I hope somehow he's still alive and is hanging out with Charlie at the moment. They both better come back damn it!

I'm afraid I have to go with #1. It doesn't make sense that he would still be alive on the island unless Sun didn't know he was still alive.
