There was an article about one of the books in the hatch from last night's episode in the Chicago Tribune a few weeks ago. Link Literary Encyclopedia: The Third Policeman
yea it did I was like . .what the fffffffffff I think it exposed a weakness in Locke Locke has a BUNCH of issues He is not particularly bright and he is seeking .. . something Rocket River
Now that’s breaking the 3rd wall, ABC is really branching out with all the websites, first the airline one and now this
I put "The Hanso Foundation" into an anagram searcher, and I came up with this: Death of Shannon (plus a few unused letters). Interesting. We also know that Walt warned Shannon about the "button" in the first episode of the season. (Apparently, if you play the message Walt says to Shannon during the freaky, psychic episode in the jungle backwards, it's about the button.)
yea ,but they basically jerk the viewers around by adding even more questions. the film ddint reveal locke and jack watched didnt reveal shyt!
I must of missed how we were told the polar bears got on the island? Somebody please fill me in. Thanks
The Hatch is hatch #3 of 6. They are each "reseach facilities". One of the branches of research of this group is zoological in nature. This is where the Polar Bear came from. Maybe they were doing experiments of non-native species introduced to new climates/environments. Someone asked what the hatch was: It's essentially a research facility set up by the Hanso Corporation. The Dharma Initiative is basically a bunch of experiments. This particular bunker was set up to study the electromagnetic properties of the island (which could be why everything keeps crashing into the island - ie Flight 815, Drug smuggler's plane, Desmond's boat, Danielle's boat, and possibly the Black Rock boat). So it looks like the island was used as an area for experiments (think Jurassic Park). We do certainly have some answers now. Yes, there are many still left unanswered, but the way is paved for more revelations. We are only 3 episodes into a season of over 20. The survivors have plenty more time to figure out what is going on. I know I wouldn't be satisfied if every question was just answered in the last episode. What else would be left for us to watch? Delayed gratification. Watch the show for what it is and enjoy the ride. Enjoy watching each of the characters' personalities develop. Answers will come. And if you simply can't wait for the answers and it frustrates you too much, then maybe LOST isn't for you. There's no problem with that.
Post more often please...I watch the show too, you just made everything a WHOLE lot clearer. Thanks! I couldn't agree with you more about the people complaining about not enough answers...think about it, how many seasons will the show go on? How much information is there really for us to take in? Keep your seatbelts fastened, this show kicks ass.
"The Missing Walt" Is a book about how the black man's inner child has been taken hostage by the white man. Walt being taken away on a boat is definitely a slave reference. Charles Gibson is off the playoff roster. The Astros result in game 2 a day after all the black people on the show are rendered helpless... LOST These guys are good. cue music
there was one black guy with a mighty big stick in last night's episode- he certainly didn't appear helpless. but i think i know the island's secret. at the end of the series, we're all going to finally discover what google's really up to...
Did Lost switch to Saturday nights? I was checking tvguide.com to make sure the Astros was on Fox26 and I noticed Lost was on tonight at 7. It said new episode too.
Someone put the numbers into Google Maps, and this is the result (zoom out to see the full view). Very interesting. I think we have our answer as to what the numbers mean...
You know that made me think, I'm wondering if they can type in numbers that add up to more to extend the amount of time between each reset. I'm kinda with Jack in believing it doesn't matter. That observation about the The Hanso Foundation also spelling out "death of shannon." Michelle Rodriguez's character and that big dude with the macheti really suck. Obviously, the leader of the others wasn't as good as the passengers from the front end of the plane (Jack). I agree they are drawing some portions of the show out too much. One episode essentially was the SAME almost as the episode before it, but I'll keep watching. That was really wierd how there was that clip of Jin speaking english. That was freaky more than anything so far.
I always expected that Jin would know English. Especially when the wife started speaking it. The real mystery will be why he hid the fact.
yeah about jin what i really dont get is that when he was being fired at when "they" took walt he still did not speak English. i seriously think that maybe Jin could have been part of the others since the beginning. It seems sort of weird how he was able to be captured by "them" and then rushes out just when sawyer and micheal reappear on the island. maybe the others have a better survival/rescue plan but need more resources from the survivors from the front of the plane and so jin may be helping them out in that sense. also the scene where shannon's brothers is in the drug plane (from season 1) and tries to radio for help he says we're the survivors of oceanic flight 815 the response was "No we're the survivors of oceanic flight 815" that could have been the "others" responding so they probably have some sort of radio transmitter as well
