What did you all make of the "has Walt ever appeared anywhere he wasn't supposed to be" (or something to that basic effect) question?
I can't stand Michael. I really don't care about Walt either. I just don't want to hear, "GIVE ME MY SON!!!" anymore.
No show has raised so many questions and left them unanswered since X-files. At least X-files put in stand alone episodes and moved the main story arc along fairly well. Lost better deliver on its promises of answering some of the questions for the finale, or I think they will start to lose viewers next season. This season was already a little weaker than the first...they need to finish strong. When is Battlestar Galactica starting back up again? That show basically rewrote the term "cliffhanger." I don't mind if Lost does something similar as long as they answer some of the questions up until now.
my take is the "did he ever appear anywhere before?" was Shannon seeing him maybe? I mean he was there, but not really there...didn't Sayid see him too? Ok, who is in the boat? My guess is it's Desmond.
Anyone else find it intriguing that Henry Gale (the Other) kept telling Locke that he had been coming to the Lost camp to bring HIM back, and yet of the list of 4 people Michael is to bring home, none are Locke? I'm wondering what that list means. Could it be that what Ecko and Locke saw and did in the Pearl hatch fulfilled his purpose, or started him on his correct path, so the Others no longer need/want him? So far, the Others seem interested in taking people that deem "good"...but that list included Sawyer, who I would say is anything but. You know, something just occurred to me. Right before they killed Anna Lucia, they started portraying her in a much more sympathetic light...perhaps to increase the impact of her dying. But that exactly what they've been doing with Sawyer these last few episodes, isn't it? I hope he doesn't get killed off next week. I could see it being Hurley too. That would really upset me. There are a LOT of unanswered questions about Walt and Michael. If they resolve all of that, it will really move the show along. I have no idea what is going on with that boat, but it did indeed look empty there at the end of the show. If they just GIVE a boat to the Losties after all this time...what's the hook? The thing is not really seaworthy? There has to be something that prevents them from using that thing to get off the island...unless they are working it out so that Michael gets Walt back, and they both leave together on the boat without any other Lost folk. That would suck. I want to see Walt do more supernatural crap.
the first thing i thought of was Walt appearing in the tent to the blonde ballet dancer (what was her name) after Sayid left, earlier this season. this show is freaking fantastic. if you're seeking quick resolution and answers, you need to find something else to do on Wednesday nights. the beauty of this thing is it slowly unfolding...creating conversation at the water coolers the next morning....not knowing what to expect the next week.
That doesn't make sense because Michael got that list a few days before Locke and Ecko found the new hatch. Plus, from the preview, it seems that Locke has lost his faith when it was Ecko's job to help him keep it according to Ana Lucia's ghost.
I thought she meant before the crash. Everything else that she asked about took place before it and that's why Michael couldn't answer anything.
i remember Walt's step-father being freaked by Walt's special powers. I can't remember the specifc event(s) that brought his attention to the fact that Walt is "special".
True, maybe whatever forces are moving Locke/Ecko are separate from what the Others are doing. I guess the most logical explanation is that Gale WASN'T there for Locke, and just told him that to get in his head for whatever escape/mind**** he had planned before Michael busted him out.
This is just a theory, but the 5 people on the list (including Michael now) have all killed someone. Well, okay, so Jack may have killed people indirectly as a doctor. Still, maybe there's a flashback we haven't seen of Jack that shows a dark side. And I believe these 5 people have also seen hallucinations on the island as well. Then again, Sayid fits the exact profile, too, and he's not on the list, so what do I know.
In Dave, he was getting counseling in the mental institution. He needed it because he felt that when he walked out onto a patio one time, it collapsed. A bunch of people died and he felt that he killed them. Also, he got cursed by the numbers and his grandpa died.
I guess that works, seems like a stretch though since the deck collapse probably would have happened even had he not gone out there (at least according to his therapist). His grandfather could count, I suppose. At least as much as Jack's killing patients. I am so stoked about what Sayid will do next week. He's so badass, you could tell as soon as he knew that Michael was lying, and he was already planning. Sayid will figure out what to do. I hope Walt does some cool supernatural ****. I missed a lot of the first season and beginning of 2nd season, and I haven't seen anything of the kid except when he was kidnapped and what they showed last night.
I think it's not on again till August or October. This episode was fairly straight forward, at least from my point of view. We had all kind of guessed that Walt was doing everything because of his son, so this episode didn't really move anything along. The finally should be pretty intresting, I get the feeling they're going to be killing off a few more characters
maybe the Others are just another group of cast aways that have been there longer and not the brains behind anything that's going on
Charlie would be more logical in that scenario then just about anybody. Though I guess the four other than Michael all killed people before they got to the island.
