this episode didn't go anywhere. the best part of it was the last 3 minutes. that "other" dude is an awesome actor.
I thought this episode was decent, kind of showed a better rounded view of Sun. Next week looks really good
It was fair. Nothing too exciting. Henry Gale really looks like he's going to pull a Kaiser Soze on the castaways...
The writing on this show has slipped. Especailly the dialogue. Am I the only one who found myself predicting lines right before they came out? Example: Locke to Anna Lucia: You look the devil's chasing you. Anna Lucia (and me in my living room): Maybe he is. I dunno. I'm still watching the show. But it doesn't hold my interest like it did in the first season. Also, and I'm not usualy a plot nit-picker, but the parachue search irks the hell out of me. Let's say they find the parachute. How does this clear his good name? I mean, if he's an Other, then he knows this island inside and out. He knows its terrain. He knows its secret. He would probably know if there's an abandoned parachute lying around. What's the proof that it's his? [/end rant]
I enjoyed your rant. However, I believe you meant wreckage from a hot air balloon with a smiley face on it and not a parachute. If they were traveling around the world via parachute, then they wouldn't get very far. But, on this show, maybe they would as it's so unbelievable at this point that nothing would surprise me.
Seems to. I've always found that odd. Jack and Locke live in the hatch while everybody else lives out on the beach. Why are Jack and Locke so special?
How many people want to try and live somewhere an insanely loud siren goes off every 108 minutes? Other people have used the hatch for things, Jin getting his handcuff cut off, Libby, Rose, Hurley washing their clothes...Also, its only been 17 days since they first opened the hatch, if alot of people were opposed to live at the caves, think how squeamish they might feel living in a place that had quarantine stamped onto the inside of its hatch doors.
how many ppl even know about the siren? i thought they were keeping it a secret, except for the few "main" characters.... do the fillers or extras even know about it?
I agree with your point. So they killed two balloonists and remember the location where it landed. So what?
Until recently with the addition of Henry, Locke had teams of two taking shifts pressing the button. Since Henry has arrived though, Locke has been doing the button pushing, while Jack hangs around. Thats why Kate said "You've been spending alot of time down at the hatch lately," in the most recent episode. It has to be assumed that some of the anonymous people are pushing the button. How else would all of the main characters and Locke be down at the beach together when Sawyer says he has the guns.
some of these backround stories suck Sun and Jin's story is turning around and seems to get interesting but still it still not that great
