I'm losing interest too, as the players that are injured are the players I think should be starting. Not that high on juwon, so watching him shoot 18 shots a game doesn't appeal to me. Wes is ok, Alston is ok but still isn't registering to me as a Rocket yet. Bowen is good as a hustle guy and is supposed to surprise you when he does stuff because tmac, yao, swift, DA, Alston are our main options, thus its only impressive to see him do stuff when the players around him are better than him. I love dikembe, but basically, I'm losing interest because these guys are not the rockets to me, they are a band-aid until our starting line comes back.

Same here, i like watching the young guys that could be good in the league get their chance under JVG, its wierd watching him call for a rookie to throw out there.

As of late ive been waiting till almost halftime to start watching the game, but thats so i can fast forward thru the commercials with my DVR.

To tell you the truth, despite the 3 losses, I've enjoyed the past 3 games more than any of the games where Yao and Mcgrady played.

The team that has been going out there the past 3 games play more like a team than the team did before Yao and Mcgrady were injured. It's not just a one man show or 2 man show. The ball doesn't just go to one player while the other 4 players on the court stand and watch. The offense is not nearly as predictable as it was with Yao or Mcgrady on the court.

They play as a cohesive unit where all 5 players on the court are of equal importance. It's refreshing to see basketball the way it was meant to be played, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. I only wish they could continue to play like this even when Mcgrady and Yao get back.

Even though it's obvious we don't have nearly enough talent to contend, at least we're finally starting to play the right way and I'd rather watch the team lose playing the right way, than win playing the wrong way.

I wouldn't go as far as you, but it's been fun watching these guys bust their tails trying to get the win. The effort last night, on a back-to-back after a double OT, was just amazing.

I'd feel much better if they'd won both games. :(

I have NBA League Pass and I watch all Rockets, Spurs and Mavericks games (this is Texas after all...). It's very educational to see how pronounced the differences that exist between the three Texas teams. I also continue to watch Rockets games because I feel that sometime this season JVG will finally reach his breaking point and simply explode and I want to see it go down live.

The current team is unwatchable. I've been so caught up in the Texas' run to the National Championship that I don't ever bother to check the scores half the time.

you know, i would have let you pass with the "i don't watch b/c yao and tmac are hurt" comment, but this is blasphemy. how could the spurs be anymore exciting than these rockets, even w/o our stars? oh, and they are the damn SPURS for chrissake.

I never lose interest. Everytime they lose, I say to myself, screw it I am done, and then the next day comes and I cant wait for the next game. Sure times like this are tough, but as many of you have said, it is times like this that makes us true fans. I still watch every game and go to as many as I can.

I agree!...the Rockets are such underdogs right now that in reality I'm cheering
for them even harder...I only wish I could put on my sneakers and start throwing
some elbows at the opposing team...there fighting like Rocky against Apollo...
Apollo had the skills but Rocky had the heart!

    Rocky..Rockets..Rocky..Rockets..Rocky..Rockets......... :D

I will continue to watch every game available to me and cheer for every play as long as the players play their hearts out (which they have been recently)!

I am also a Clippers fan so Houston's little "losing streak" is nothing. Pft. ;)

Yeah but that's the difference between the fantasy world created in movies and real life. In the movies the guy with heart wins it all. In real life the Rockets can't beat the scrubs of the league which include the Raptors, Hornets, and Bobcats. Wait have we lost to the Hawks yet?

I was trying to convey that the underdog in any enviroment usually not always
gets a sympathetic heart from the people wittnessing the event....

By the way Rocky lost, that's the reason for the sequel....

I enjoy watching Luther Head getting better and guys like Lucus and Baxter. Other than that, the game has few highlights for me.

I still watch because as others have mentioned it's sort of fun to see our younger players stretch themselves. But I am sad that Deke is playing 30 minutes a game. That is way too much. If he has to keep it up, he could be the next guy to go down.

This is nothing. We sucked pretty bad when Francis was out due to inner ear problems. We didnt' make the playoffs for years after the Hakeem & Barkley era. I had been watching dribble mania, one on one dribble dribble jacking up a shot kind of offense for years before Yao and JVG came. Losing interest? Hardly.

I know what you mean. I find myself no longer interested in the United States. Maybe because we've got so many troops killed and wounded in Iraq. I find myself wearing a long beard, assembling plastic explosives, and watching inspirational videos of Osama bin Laden.
