Well, if I had to choose to be a fan of the Clippers or the Grizzlies, and I chose to be a fan of the Clippers simply because they didn't get eliminated, then wouldn't that make me the definition of a fair-weather fan? Or a bandwagoner? I have no vested interest in either team, other than that a few former Rockets play for the Clippers.

I agree with you that the Suns will probably win at least one more game, but in the end, it will be LA vs LA in the next round.

So, what happened to the "pride" and "honor" you valued so much?

If I may, let me rephrase my initial question: if Rox were in Clippers and Grizz position, which strategy would you like us to take, Clipper's or Grizz's?

Huh? Why didn't you quote the rest of my reply? I haven't cast aside anything, I was answering your hypothetical question by stating that to choose the Clippers over the Grizzlies because of playoff success would be to embrace the "bandwagon" mentality. I then went on to state that while I have no particular interest in either team, I like the players on the Clippers, because of past affiliations with the Rockets.

I think you already know my answer, but just in case: I supported the Rockets at the end of the 2004-2005 season, when they were winning at the end of the season (instead of tanking) and ended up in a series vs the Mavericks rather than Seattle. Even in retrospect, having lost the final game of that series in a humiliating blow-out, I supported the organization and the players attitude that if they were going to play, they were going to play to win, without fearing any matchups.

I'm not saying they'll win the championship but they advanced to the next round which was their goal.

Our situation was a bit different last year. We matched up against Mavs just about as well as against Sonics. Sonics was a pretty good team last year. I didn't have a strong preference between the Mavs and them.

My point is the "loser mantality" as you called it got Clippers into 2nd round, very likely WCF. I'd take that any day of the week. The "pride" and "hornor" as you called it got Grizz a sweep. Now they are 0-12 in playoff history. How does that help them anyway going forward?

    The Clipps.

Rudy near towards the end of the season would start resting players or putting them on the IR. we'd lose some games to get our dudes rested.

Are you so sure about it? whether Suns or Lakers win game 7, I think Clippers are in favor to win the 2nd round and advance to WCF. Hell of an achievement for a "loser", if you ask me.

You are proven wrong earlier than expected. Look, the problem is that the so called "wining mindset" or "winner mentality" or "will" are overrated. When talents are about equal, those things decide which way the game goes. But they cannot make up the gap in term of talents. Maybe 2 out of 10 times, the weaker team won with the help of "mentality" but the other 8 times the better team won.

    Talent >>>>>> "mentality".

PS: "mentality" switch on and off all the time, as proven in this playoff so far. You guys thought that if we tanked the season we would switch off the "winning mentality" for good. You were wrong.
