Let the flaming begin.... I don't know Lorenzen Wright, and don't really think it matters is someone makes a crass joke about him missing... his children are not going to read this message board, as they have bigger issues to worry about.

What Ronny said is very funny... all these other idiots "cowboying up" to flame him are doing so because it makes them feel better.... if they are really worried, then be proactive and volunteer at one of the non-profits dedicated to helping missing people....

As for Lorenzen Wright, I had not heard from him since he left Memphis, I figured he died in a horrible car accident long ago.

I "cowboyed up" not because it "makes me feel better" but because all too increasingly in this internet era I see posters on these boards make statements that they would not make if they were facing that person face to face. To me that is a cowardly act and I wanted to point that out. There are alot of "internet tufguys" out there.

Yes, because you're not being an "internet tufguy" by going around and criticizing people for what they say because it doesn't agree with you.

U can keeping spinning this around all night. The difference is I didn't come on here and talk crap about a man that has been missing for a week. All i did was suggest asking yourself a couple questions before posting something belligerent on here. i answered those 2 questions in my head before i posted on here.

His little daughter has been crying every single day, nonstop, for the last week.

    It's called class, get some.

I can dance with you all night because you make it so easy. I came on here and made a joke, and speculated upon the reasons as to why he may be missing, whether unfounded or not. Said in poor taste admittedly, it's not going to affect his current situation, nor those of his family and friends who are probably out there on foot searching for him as we speak, rather than you who are sitting here defending his internet honor from the comfy seat of your chair.

Lorenzen Wright's neglectful sorry no good player irresponsible not calling his family punk ass isnt around to hear any of this indeed. Nor his overconcerned dramatic mother and family.

(I know you didnt mean it that way and was responding to a whole other context than the one I made)

Its not like we can send a rescue team out for him either. "Better him than me" will ALWAYS apply no matter what people think.

Just a tricky situation overall. Its like when should people allow themselves to be respectful. Instead of always thinking of ways they SHOULDNT be.

There sure wasn't a lot of fake outrage and crocodile tears in the thread about Stephen Jackson's wife getting held at gunpoint while robbers burglarized their house. People were actually posting the lyrics to an Outkast song and most people didn't seem to care about what happened. Hypocrisy and selective indignation, especially the "righteous" variety, are just as bad. All in all, this is the internet and to me we shouldn't take ourselves so seriously.

Why would we be outraged over a robbery where everyone came out ok?
    Lorenzen Wright is GONE...

If Stephen Jackson or his wife was GONE, and people were cracking jokes about it, it would be 100% different.

Omg, Lorenzen is gone! I'm going to hold a candlelight vigil outside my house. You've already proven that you're a charlatan and now you're a hypocrite. In your strange reality it's okay to make light of a situation and joke around by posting song lyrics when somebody's wife gets held at gunpoint and her house is robbed, but not when Lorenzen Wright is GONE.

QFT. This is Clutch BBS. It's not perfect in terms of some being insensitive and not serial but that's what makes it great. It's always been this way for the most part. Whether it's right or wrong is not the point.

Go post on a tupperware party forum or cancer survivor forum if you want to be nice, feel good, and boost your morale. (No A**hole.)

In my strange reality, there is a large difference between robbery and death.

Until we find out where Lorenzen is, there is a difference, imo.

It's like making jokes in the "NFL players lost at sea for 3 days" thread...

By the way, I do not commend what happened in the Captain Jack thread, In fact I didn't even know there was a thread.

I feel like pointing out a douchebag is a noble cause, and has plenty of room on Clutchfans. I bet Clutch agrees...

In fact, I would argue that it is more entertaining as well.

    I agree.

In either case, I dont get the point of joking about someones misfortune unless that someone brought it upon themselves.

    huh?

The robbery is unrelated to anything Jackson did.

If Jackson beat up someones parents...and they came back and burglarized/robbed him, then Jackson brought it upon himself.

Not the case here. I dont get your point.
