To me it should not be as challenging...there should still be talk leaning a little more toward the Rockets, especially come playoff time. I sure as hell hope the local guys don't start harping on meaningless early season baseball stuff. I know it'll be talked about, but the Rockets will be in the playoffs for goodness sakes. (Barring a total collapse of course.)

The main problem is that Rich is a baseball guy predominantly and Mark is a football guy predominantly. I mean, the other day they were talking about college football - seriously?

Matt and Adam definitley know hoops. Of all of them - Charlie included - they are my favorites for Rockets stuff because they understand the game and they have fun with it. Charlie, for nuts and bolts, x's and o's, is head and shoulders above pretty much anyone with basketball (with Lance Z a close second), but he can be a little dry.

I thought the "benefit for Mo Taylor" when he was "sick" was brilliant a few weeks back.

Rich is really, REALLY a great guy and I do like hearing him talk about sports, but I just wish they would both put more time into basketball being the Rockets flagship and all, especially with spring training going on. Baseball is fine, but we are six months from anything significant with baseball and literally weeks away from the NBA playoffs.

That's not a problem. That's simply the Houston sports market for you. Rockets are third fiddle.

You guys are going to jump all over me for this, but one of the few things I miss about living in Dallas is listening to 1310 The Ticket. At least those guys have personality. Rich, Charlie, and Mark are all good about the sports knowledge, but I just get bored with them sometimes. Heck, I find myself yelling at Charlie to shut the hell up at least once a week.

I agree. Sometimes I prefer to hear someone with personallity instead of them just spewing out sports knowledge. That's what makes the good ones great.

You have got to be kidding me. The Ticket is the worst pile of garbage "sports" station in the US. It's not really a sports station, but a guys blabbing to guys station. Throw in some hot chicks (on the radio...haha), sexual innuendo, sound effects, and labels for listeners like "P1's" to make them feel like they're somebodies, and you have The Ticket. Thank God for XM where you can at least get actual sports talk.

    Yeah, that's exactly it!

Have you ever lived in Dallas? If Dallas didn't have a station with that combination of sport and guy talk, I would have gone nuts because all the other sports station talk about the damn Cowboys constantly all day, every day, 365 days a year.

Matt and Wex are quickly moving up my totem pole. Dare I say Rich and Marc have slipped to 4th.

    John/Lance (Morning Crew)
    Matt/Adam (Night Shift)
    Danny/Rob (Sports Saturday)
    Rich/Marc (Afternoon Drive Time Players)

Well, actually, Matt alone was already 2nd on my list, but Matt for four hours + Adam Wexler makes the show great. Too bad it's preempted a lot due to Rockets/Longhorns.

Chance, any plans on having both Matt and Adam on the Rockets Fan Feedback? or is Matt still flying solo on that?

Also, are you guys going to be at Ticket Attractions Opening Day like last year? I heard something about it I think friday morning (maybe I was just hearing things).

I'm taking that day off to go to the game, I may head out to T-A since I'll have nothing to do til 6pm.
