2-5 Rockets have turned the corner and don't play any real contenders in their next 20 games. Look out Warriors!

 

They are building the new identity for this team. Initiating good play with Cp3 in the pick n roll with Capella and Melo at the 45 degree spot 3pt high gave them offense they could rely on consistently. Then they started mixing it up. The problem is they were clearly motivated defensively when their offense got going. That’s the biggest threat to them is their effort level and playing harder consistently. They must give the effort on defense no matter gown they are doing offensively

 

We really need to beat the bad teams, because the good teams just blow us out of the water

 

The secret to success was MCW. Leave him on the bench again please. He just sucks the life out of any offensive rhythm anytime he checks in. His defense is not worth the abomination he is in the Rockets offense. An offense that creates options. Defenses literally present him the option by staying the heck away from him. He is so knowingly terrible at shooting that when he gets the ball, he either calls for a pick on an invisible defender or he drives right into the mosh pit of defenders closer to the rim.

In addition, the sooner we can stop playing Hartenstein and/or Chriss, the sooner all of the problems go away.

 

We need more than a one game sample size. Let's revisit this after game #20.
