Here's a good read for the OP: http://www.houstonpress.com/news/this-houston-rockets-thing-is-going-nowhere-7966368
Well I think the op meant to say he can see some improvements that are not in any way adequate or satisfying but minimal. There is a slight more effort in defence and a slight more effort in getting def rebounds that can turn us around from one of the top 3 worst teams in the league to maybe top 10 worst. So I guess good job..?
If the Rockets are going to turn their season around, the signs of it will begin with seeing them do some positive things again, not going from losing constantly to 20-point blowout wins. I still think the Rockets will revert to approximately the team they were the last couple of seasons, hopefully in time to A. make the playoffs and B. get out of the 7/8 seed, if they do make the playoffs.
Stanley Johnson, Will Barton, Aaron Gordon, Shane Larkin, Robert ****ing Covington? A literal who's who in "Who He Play For". It's looking like whoever James is guarding will have a career night. And Dwight just got punked last night, absolutely emasculated. He needs to decide whether or not he's going to play basketball or be a b**** caus ed I can't take his bull**** anymore. No one respects his offense and if a bigger more physical guy is challenging for the rebound Dwight might as well not jump because he's not going to get it. do he Can't score and only rebounds when he wants to, that folks is soft. Kobe knew it, Durant knows it and I have a feeling James is leaning that way as well. This team sucks, I'm praying we trade Dwight and Capella for Okafor and Noel. I bet you if we do that trade we can salvage this season. Philly should do it, they ain't trying to win anything but the lottery, send Dwight there so he can do more dick grab gifs with Canaan
I stand with glynch. The only way to go is up. Last night was a false cloud. A dead-tired Rockets team with a hurting Harden after a ridiculous 4th period comeback the previous night on the road against a decent opponent - of course they are going to lose. Things are starting to come together.
This was an interesting article. From the article: This is Morey's "all-in" group, the one he'd spent eight years tinkering with to finally arrive at, and this is what we have — a dysfunctional, underachieving crew who look like "playing basketball" is WAY down their list of things they feel like doing. Morey sat at the poker table for eight years, went all-in on a hand that looked like a full house, and it turns out it's just a bunch of rags.
We'll see. I feel like maybe that was one of those games we would not have won any ways it being a b2b and against a better Detroit team. I mean I see things they do better they just don't do those things consistently. Still the Rockets team is very much in the mix, I think clearly GSW and SAS will be the first two seeds but after that who knows. If Dmo can return to how he plays when healthy and at the same time give Jones less minutes I can see this team getting instantly hot. As Dmo was a big reason for that record last year. A HUGE reason. He was the Rockets 2nd best player when Dwight went down and there were nights he was just the go-to player. He's the guy that we can go to when Harden does Harden things. Maybe his game will help out Lawson's some too. Also a big rotation of Howard/Capela/Dmo is very very good. For once we can always be big and have bigs capable of protecting the paint. Yes Dmo protects the paint, doesn't get blocks but he knows where to be and where to rotate. He does a lot of things well and I'm always surprised how many undervalue you him even here.
Saying that we are "turning it around" does not mean that we never lose, never make mistakes, never have a bad half. Sheesh why not go back to all the rest of the threads that the sky is falling, "I'm becoming to hate, McFauden, Howard, Brewer, Lawson, Beverly, Jones", etc. etc. Avoid the trauma of a semi-positive thread and return to the comfort of all the other threads.
