Yes sir, I'm not saying he will Just that he has appeared to have gained 15 to 20 pounds from highschool to first year with Duke. Most players get in shape before drafted.......then some gain weight
Good point. Middleton was off in the 2nd round Jokic didn't have J Murray Heat didn't have Lowry Nets didn't have Ben Simmons, Joe Harris Cavs didn't have Sexton, Rubio, Dean Wade Warriors had Payton II, Otto Porter, Wiseman gone or off and on Bulls Zach LaVine, Lonzo Ball Mavs Tim Hardaway People tell me Embiid, Jokic and KAT have no help. I say it's doesn't stop Jimmy Butler Who does Tatum have.....Jaylen Brown and who? I told CF's as the playoffs started that Jokic, KAT and Embiid wouldn't get out of the first round.....if they did their run would end in the 2nd round. Embiid the MVP candidate had all world Harden; which is more than what Jimmy Butler had. Excuses, excuses. I'll just say this.....if the Rockets draft Banchero, I won't criticize the guy for two years. I've said all I need to say on the matter. Good luck Banchero and good luck to the Rockets. Go Rockets!!
I think some posters want to continue with GOOD ball. You don't put shitty tall guys out there just because they are tall. Apples to apples, obviously you take the bigger, quicker, blacker guy. It is almost NEVER apples to apples. Hakeem ain't walking through that door.
Lopez didn't fail them and he was instrumental to the Bucks winning it all a year ago. He missed most of the year and had to have back surgery. He looked great defensively, offensively he looked a bit idk slower. He shot badly(he takes the fewest 3s of anyone in their rotation) in their series but the entire Bucks shot bad. I mean they went 1-24 in game 7, that 1 was Brook. Bud failed that team he didn't make adjustments and the Bucks were gassed. Credit to Boston defense. Udoka just out coached Bud. Also I noticed Bucks are terrible at the post entry pass, reminded me of the Yao days. Without Middleton when Giannis was on the bench no one could even hit Lopez with an entry pass.
I covered that all. Look up Brook Lopez 3-point shooting per series last season in the playoffs when they won. Lopez shot an abysmal % in the finals but would dive to basket an was instrumental in getting dunks or layups. Teams were just better prepared for that this season. I didn't see when I posted last year how that play was difficult to defend. I posted how other teams were doing that same play and using the Big in the same manner. I'll post the dunk and play again. You didn't see the same play as effective this season because teams have studied it and schemed accordingly. Zone defense and/or pointing defense has been a factor. You refuse to acknowledge the mixed in she's as playing a factor. Here is the play seen in clip number 2 and 3 where players kept their dribble near the basket and the 3-point shooting big would dive to the basket for the dunk or layup. I highlighted how many teams were running that play. You didn't see it as much this season. Because of scouting and smarter defenses.
Even if small ball worked, it’s extremely painful to watch small guys get worked over and outrebounded by taller guys all game. I enjoy when the other team misses a shot seeing one of our tall players fet a rebound. Used to be sooo frustrating seeing our small guys work twice as hard only to still get outrebounded just because the other guy they were guarding was six inches taller. This helps make my decision on who I think the Rockets need…..Banchero!!!
Agreed, But I don't think guys like Banchero/Chet/Season/Murray/Williams are shitty and if you want to win championships you need talented guys with size.
Yes indeed. Apples to apples I am rolling with size. As I said though, especially late in the draft, there are a ton of measurable monsters that are ass and balls at hooping.
Always pushing Norm into the universe… You might call me a Norm missionary. What the H! Reminds me of that tragedy!
