If you're really stuck on Mazda, look at the Mazda6 hatchback instead. Made in Japan (I think the sedans are from Detroit) and better quality than the 3. Mazda has got to be cheaper than Saab.
My favorite (although not exactly tex-mex) is Z Tejas on West 6th and Also in the Arboretum. Definitely give it a try.... great stuff. Other favorites: Hula Hut on town Lake - HUGE burritos! Guero's on S. Congress Polvo's on S. 1st Pappasito's on 35 Chuy's on Barton Springs
