Sorry but I'd much rather watch Hakeem, Jordan, LeBron, etc......dominate a game.

And I would enjoy watching Hakeem and Clyde bring us a championship much more than watching this team lose in the first round.

Seems like a lot of people are just trying to find things to be excited about imo. Am I expecting this team to win it all? Nope. But I can't say I'm excited about a team that MIGHT make the playoffs.

Yeah, most of us rockets fans expect a sub-par performance. So, these players pretty much have nothing to lose, and everything to gain.

I, like anyone else, would love to see a 30-game winstreak in the middle of the season led by Aaron Brooks + Trevor Ariza. But it probably won't happen. I just wanna see Brooks and Ariza light up the scoreboard every night. :)

So, how much did Leslie Alexander pay you to create this thread?

there will be nights when the contenders dont stand a chance against us, i hate rationalizations, whats the point of being a fan, i like knowing that you never know what will happen, thats why they play the game

Who the hell thought wed go 2-2 against the champs without our 'stars'

we have a good "TEAM" and if you dont believe that they can win it all especially after last playoffs, why the hell are you watching? you might as well be jazz fans...

I love clutchfans but its getting a little disheartening on here

The people who don't believe we can win it all are realists. I mean we're going to have enough trouble just making the playoffs.

We watch because we support our team. And I may be in the minority here but us going 2-2 against LA last year was I think LA just sleep walking against us.

Do I want the Rockets to do well? Of course. Do I think we'll make the playoffs? Possible we get a 7-8th seed. Do I think we'll win a championship this year? No, not with the current roster.

Nothing. I had fun the last two nights watching the young guys. It was sort of nice to watch with no expectations and just be entertained.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to DaDakota again.
    Good post. I agree 100%...

Hopefully Tracy is wanted in Phoenix at the all-star break.:)

I couldn't agree more. As a fan I def want win, but will not be as disappointed this year with less wins if I see growth with the young guys and our younger vets take the next step. I'm really excited to get this season started and see who develops.

Yeah I would go with Amare. I was not very big on getting Bosh here like some others were. But with the way this team is constructed I think he would fit in very well. So I'm leaning toward Bosh and hoping Toronto has a rough season

I'm more excited about where our team will go from here. We have young, exciting guys but no star. I wonder what sort of moves Morrey is pondering.

glynch, you really should post more in the GARM and less in D&D. (I'm shameless! ;) )

Agree about Camby, although I like the expiring contract. I definitely agree with "I like playing Scola and Battier and the young guys. Two role model guys and a lot of competition for playing time." What I don't agree with is the implication that we won't win more than 40 games. I think we can and I think we will. We'll look like hell before the break, but if we hang in there and don't fall too far behind, I see a run coming in the second half, fueled by the guys you mentioned getting used to playing with each other, the young guns learning Adelman's system (which takes time), and the fact, in my opinion, that Adelman's system is perfect for the talent we have, and the fix we are in.

Something just tells me management will keep McGrady and Yao untill they retire. Just to think we also had Rudy Gay at one point.

Glynch, I only bring up Camby because the clipps are loaded at the 5 and we don't have a young big playing that spot. What we do have is a couple of young wings in chase and trevorr who would benefit by getting minutes.

Worrell is closing in near the ranks of Bull and Clyde with his 'premature ejoculatory' comment. I think thats the best one I have heard of the 3.

I think we its entirely possible to make the 5th or 6th seed. If McGrady can give us 80%, AB and Landry continue to improve and a big name goes down in the West, we might sneak up on some people. Yao returning isn't completely out of the question either. Maybe that isn't realistic, but I'm optimistic. Go Rockets!!
