Shaq might have a game that's a little better than Yao statistic wise, but we will win the game and that's what matters.

The Rockets better study the Nets/Lakers game tonight. The nets destroyed LA and i hope the rockets have the same gameplan.

yao knows all about shaq so he will be really motivated like in the other games against big teams but now he will be playing against shaq. i dont htink 40 poitn would be hard for yao to get in a game against shaq

exactly, ming is a team-orient player. Think about it, during the pacer/rox game, all the guy think ming will break his record 30pts/game. I am appreciate that ming have not even try to achieve that, he keep his word "I am not here to break records".

overall, Rings are only consideration for me.

Considering recent events, I wouldn't expect anything! Just enjoy when and if it happens!

It is not wise to set the expectation too high.

ummmmm. don't you think this statement is a little insane. I mean Yao Ming's season high is 30 points, and he typically gets around 18 points and 12 boards per game, yet you think he can get 40 in his first ever meeting against Shaquille?? Let me be the one to wake you from your dream world.

    I smell serious blood here.

Shaq is gonna take this match personally and will be highly motivated to show people who is the MAN.

Lakers can lose to any team except Kings and Rockets.

Don't worry everyone. The pressure is on Shaq. Yao has nothing to lose, but EVERYTHING to gain.

If he gets schooled, fine he's only a rookie.
If he manages to hold his own, yeah finally a Shaq neutralizer in the NBA!
If he somehow dominates Shaq, wow wow wow Ming Dynasty, Yao for MVP, Yao for President!!! :D

Can't wait for this game. :)

I'm telling you, if we had ANY kind of enforcer, that game would be the beginning of the rivalry which is the end of the Lakers.

Problem is, Shaq's going to beat the living daylights out of Yao Ming, and no one will say anything to Shaq about it. If we only had Barkley or Oakley...or Mills, lol....

Seriously though....With the addition of Posey, I think I'd LOVE to face the Lakers in the playoffs....Ming is the 2nd best C in the league, and Posey is a defensive minded, never stop running, SG/SF who can give Kobe some trouble with his long arms and hops.

Besides that, we have too many perimeter threats for Kobe to handle. Francis would eat Fisher up, and Mobley would eat Fisher up. Whoever he picks, there's on G who can tear it up, and then we STILL have the advantage at PF!!
