Interesting. Retaining heat would not be a good thing for me (or my gf) since we both like it cold as a meat locker when we sleep. Wonder if there's any way to combat that because it sounds like the mattress is comfy as hell and less expensive than I thought.
as i said in my previous post, i haven't found it to be a problem. maybe if your house was really humid it could get damp? dunno, but i assume you guys all have central air in houstonso it shouldn't be an issue. another bonus is that you can't get bed bugs. never had a problem with them anyway, but don't want to see what it's like either.
I saw your post after I finished mine. It's looking like I may go pick one up this weekend. I've had the same POS mattress since college. You can only flip it so many times before you have to chunk it.
Perhaps, I can buy a decent bed frame/post and put an air mattress on it for now. Has anyone done this? I have been sleeping on one of these and love it. The only problem is that it was loaned to me and if it springs a leak, I will need to replace his and buy a bed. I think the Select Comfort is over-priced considering what it is. The Temperpedics are way out of the price range.
