After reading that thread, all I have to say is I gotta get a school teaching job down in The Valley...
All the parts are vacuum foamed in place...The big box has two levels of parts. The second box has the Supercharger and lower intake. The instructions are installation instructions are 199 pages long. 147 disassembly steps and 398 assembly steps. I plan a build date of July 5-9.
It's all a front, we all know good and well what comes in plain, brown, unmarked packages. The KB logo is just a cover.
Niiice. I wanted some twins for the Z but I can't afford 7-8 grand for mods on something I drive maybe 12,000 miles a year and I doubt I'd ever take it to the track for "legal" racing. Jail scares me too, so I try to ignore the punks at the stoplights. With Twins, I probably wouldn't ignore them so much. I want to be all like, "YEAH b****! FACE!!" and then do a wheely. Jealous though.
OK...the build date has come and gone... The car is just about complete.... A few more mods and I'll be done... Day One:
It's funny...after I finished building her, I reflashed the PCM, but apparently the tune did not take. I drove her with the wrong tune, and it really felt sluggish. I even told Tara I wasn't impressed. Next day, after stepping away and thinking about it, I decided to reflash and it took. It NOW keeps me pinned to the seat...That is with the 8lb boost pulley it came shipped with. I also have a 10 lb boost pulley that I will slap on after I get my boost gauge and fuel pressure gauge...
