Okay if I can ignore the smiley, in general you don't want to go to Shanghai in summer because it's so freakin' hot and humid. It used to be not that bad (I am a Shanghainese). But with the booming economy, numerous high rise buildings as well as the enormous outdoor heat generated by the popularization of automobiles and extensive usage of A/C in summer help create such kind of unbearable "micro" weather in Shanghai that you should avoid visiting there at all possibility.
Seriously though, have you ever being to Shanghai, the sky is almost never blue there, don't even know how they took the picture. Walk out side for 2 hours there and you've ehaled more carcinogens than you can believe. Still it's the one of the best cities in the world. Go there if you've never went. Also, Yao is Shanghainese aint it? How come there's only like 2 - 3 pics of Shanghai. It's like saying pics of Nolan Ryans homeland and then showing pics of Laguna beach, New York, yada yada
Definitely would love to visit China one day, I am in awe of their history and rich culture. I will hopefully get around to it one day
Holla', I lived there for 4 months my junior year of college, joined up clutchcity (as it was known back then) in Shanghai. It's a really fun place, I'd say more fun than NYC, and it's cheap like the rest of china, but things are better quality, and if you ever want to get luxury or American standard stuff, you can get that too if you can pay for it. Basically, I love the city because you can satisfy every need no matter what class you are in, from poor student to rich businessman.
its pretty hilarious....you can post a picture of the channel area..and claim it is Houston....when everyone that knows anything about Houston knows that is most likely the Pasadena/Deer Park/LaPorte area. but hey...thanks for trying to dump on our city....noone has ever done that before! How original.
So true. Been there several times to several different places and I'm hooked. Most Americans don't know much about China and all they think about is the government. From Shenzhen to Shanghai to Hangzhou to Xian, etc, what a place! I've gotta find a way to Beijing so I can go out and visit the Great Wall.
