let's focus on the 1st round. i don't have confidence to win out of 1st round if we have AB and Ron play like in game 5. we have made the same mistakes repeatedly but Portland adjusted very well and getting better. what the heck our coach is doing??
Maybe I'm a pessimist but you'd think the Blazers are going to break through one of these times in the Toyota Center. None bigger and scarrier than a game 6 collapse when historically speaking the Rockets have been very Un-clutch these last 14 years. The series against the Mavs was devastating. The losses to the Jazz were heartbreaking. I think I'd be suicidal if we somehow manage to blow this series. That's not going to happen though. COME ON ROCKETS!!!!!! I BELIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!
Media plays an important role in sports. It is supposed to lift off or on some weights on/off the shoulders of teams/players. Right now Blazers media wants to create pressure on Houston Rockets to lose a possible game six. Rockets will win and to be honest Portland haven't impressed me since playoffs started.

This article is entertaining to read. I know I would love to read it if I were a Portland fan, but I'm not buying it. I refuse to believe that Portland has the Rockets "right where they want them." Young team, or no young team, Trailblazers were favored to win this thing by 80% of the media. Portland fans were confident too. If that's the case, being in a 3-2 hole, on your way to Houston to face a possible elimination game is not where you want to be. Failed article.
It's why Yao was cranky and answered a question about what Houston needs to do to win Game 6 by saying, "Get ball inside. Get ball inside. Get ball inside." In other words, GET ME A VETERAN GUARD WHO CAN GIVE ME THE DAMN BALL!!
From that article I took a few positives, not least of which was Artest immediately reviewing film. This team isn't taking things lightly, they feel the hurt from game 5 and will do the business in Game 6.
Whew...so much pressure! I was sweating so much, you could fill buckets with my sweat. Boy was that Celtics-Bull game something else!?!? By the time they switched to the Rockets, Rox were just chilling up by 15 or something Not dissing Portland or the fans, just the hilarious article.
There is absolutely nothing more moronic than talking about a game 7 before a game six has yet to be determined. Like Kobe's dumb-act last year in the finals... "Ya'll get me game number 6 and I'll guarantee game 7." How about you guarantee game 6 first you moron. Especially when game 6 is a possible elimination game. NOW IS THE TIME TO TAKE THE 4 GAMES FROM THE LAKERS THAT MATTER. GO ROCKETS. ONE LOVE TO THE FANS. GO CITY OF HOUSTON.
Canzano's Day After article. http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/or...f/2009/05/in_the_end_blazers_showed_thei.html Takes a swipe at Houston for having an ugly skyline. Chew some gum, John, it helps get the bitter taste out.
Not that I put any stock into those, lists... and I wish I had a link or reference, but didn't I just see a post on here in the last few weeks regarding Houston making it on the top ten skyline's or something? Can anyone with search verify, just for closure?
[rquoter]And they need to never forget the way Rockets fans pelted them with insults and cups. It rained confetti after the final horn. The Blazers need to burn the sight of all that falling scrap paper into the backs of their brains. They need to remember the cries of "BEAT L.A.!" that started up in the third quarter of what amounted to a back-alley whipping. They need to know -- and they don't, because they left the floor and closed the locker room door -- that Artest took the microphone, and interrupted the celebration by asking the home crowd for a "round of applause for the Blazers." And so the postseason began with a polite golf clap led by Artest. [/rquoter] I remember the "Portland Sux" chant but seriously fans at TC were throwing cups at the Blazers? Dissapointing if true. As for the rest of his piece take the loss with some class. Artest made a very gracious gesture to your team and you denigrate it.
