Do yourself a favor and think before you type...or at least know what you are talking about. Webber averages
OVER 10 REBOUNDS PER GAME for his career. He averages over 10 a game for the playoffs as well. For Christs sakes he averages 6 per game in the damn all star game!!!!

Put him next to a player like PJ Brown???? So now the Kings should start 2 power forwards???? Put Ben Wallace, Karl Malone or any other power forward on the front line with another power forward and his rebounds will certainly go down.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, since you brought it up, Webber has played along Vlade Divac for some time now I'd say and low and behold...Vlade averages more rebounds per game than PJ does!!!! So being that he plays along side somone who averages MORE rebounds than PJ Brown and he still averages over 10 per game, do you care to correct yourself in your assesment of Webbers rebounding???

Uhh... Scot Pollard and Vlade Divac are both adequite rebounders. Webber is a good rebounder.

Oh yeah, we could be in the playoffs facing the Dallas Mavericks. That would be worse.

    Thank you Major!

Webber's good for 24/10/3/1/1 and high forties % shooting. He's one of the best PFs in the NBA. Please don't ever say the max is overpaying him.

Mo Traylor can only dream about those numbers.

Damn, I'm REALLY glad we didn't get Webber now. Who would want a player who can put up 30pts/15reb/4assts/2blks w/ 0 turnovers in the playoffs.

    Webber sucks!

I love this thread, Gentlemen, I have watched Chris Webber over and over from his days at Detroit County Day, by the way a class C school not class A. He dominanted at 6'9".

However, I would like to point out the following.
    1. The Kings and opponents hoist up more shots during a game, which could lead to higher rebounding stats for Webber vs. MoTaylor. We dribble the shot clock to 0.1 before we shoot.

    2. Webber is in love with his crooked jumper and wants to cross over defenders 18 feet out. MoTaylor is a better scorer from the perimeter, however, he is scared to death of Chris Webber, because he kills him every summer when they return to Detroit for the summer.

    3. Let's compare Webber to Karl Malone at the same age. I guarantee you the Kings would make that trade in a heart beat. Karl would kill Chris night in/out, much smarter, passes well, very powerful on the box, and plays D (yes, I know he flops, but it works).

Well, based on Clutch's latest report, Mo Taylor is now SEVENTY pounds over weight, coming off of a very serious injury, facing a 5 game suspension for testing positive to drug use WHILE missing the whole past season.

What part of Mo Taylor is better than Chris Webber? I can't believe this argument is even taking place. Is Webber the best guy in the league. Heck no. Is he an all-star? You bet. Will he continue to be an all-star? Barring injury, you bet he will. Would he have looked great playing along side Steve Francis? Oh yeah.

There might be a few power forwards I would take over Webber, actually probably about 2 of them. But we never had a shot at those guys. We had a good shot at Webber. We passed on it, and now we are lottery bound.

Now, how did I know this thread would make its way to the top after last night's game?

Well if we had Webber, then I'm sure our entire team would be built around him.

Since he's a big choker, then we'll always suck against teams with any form of interior defense.

Sure Webber's better than Taylor, but Taylor's younger and has a better outside shot and he doesn't demand 20 shots a game.

You guys can talk about Webber's play against Dallas, but just wait and see what his production will be against San Antonio or LA...

Webber sucks as a #1 option, and that is exactly what Rudy would have made him, and he would have been the reason for us making the playoffs and then exiting early...

Taylor sucks....as long as he is our starting 4, we will lose that matchup every time we take the floor. I can't believe we are even mentioning Webber and Taylor in the same breath. There is nothing that Taylor does better...not even shoot so save it. He eats more and thats about it.

Taylor does have a better outside shot than Webber. Don't you remember how automatic Taylor was in the beginning of games?

Anyway, I think EG will be our future starting PF, and I definitely believe that he will be better than Webber.

I'm not sure what we'd do with EG if we were stuck with Webber starting. I imagine he'd just go elsewhere once his contract ended so he could start...

I'd rather have Taylor taking 8-10 shots a game hitting 4-6 than Webber taking 20 shots a game and pussing out in the playoffs and blaming everyone but himself while talking about going to other teams when he visits each NBA city...

Great...thats just what I want ...mypower forward to hit 3 shots in the 1st quarter and disappear for the rest of the game...and grab 4 or 5 rebounds to boot.

Could be...I think Eddie could be a star...it would be nice though to have an all star showing him the ropes

This argument by some of you pisses me off more than anything. In case you havent noticed, everyone but the Lakers seem to "puss out" in the playoffs. Before that, it was everyone but the Bulls (except for our back to back glory). What the hell is pussing out anyway??? Not winning a ring??? That can be said for a lot of stars. Does KG puss out? If so, there are a hell of a lot of posters that would give up everything AND the kitchen sink for a guy who hasnt gotten out of the 1st round. How about Carter or Mcgrady? So please tell me what it means to puss out because if KG and Webber puss out...then fill my team with p*****s please!!! Not to mention, if 31 and 15 is pussing out, sign me up. Secondly, you have to be IN the playoffs in order to "puss out" in the playoffs...nuff said. Who is for pussing out??? I AM!!!!!!!

We are all Rocket fans (most of us anyway)...I understand why you want to believe that we are better of with Mo but truthfully, there is nothing on the earth that would make that statement true. He is a soft power forward who has an ok mid range jumper but cant create, pass, rebound, defend or stay away from the fridge. He has one of the worst contracts in the NBA to boot.

I don't know why Rudy didn't play Mo more often during the game after his quick starts, it always irked me.

Is Webber the type of player that would help mentor a player that plays the same position as himself?

I have my doubts about that...

When I say "puss out", I mean play scared and take outside shots because you don't want to bang inside.

    David Robinsonn pusses out.
    Chris Webber pusses out.

Tim Duncan does not puss out.
Dikembe Mutombo does not puss out.

We all know no one can really handle Shaq, but there's a huge difference between trying to fight him, and playing afraid of him. Arvydas Sabonis got his ass kicked by Shaq, but you could tell he was giving everything he had in that series last year.

Webber settles for jumpshots and clanks them...

Webber is not a jumpshooter, so he is playing out of his game because he is afraid of Shaq, that is pussing out.

Maybe, he does lack the killer mentality that an elite player should have.

Well I think the KG trade offers are dumb because you'd have to gut your team to get him. Then after gutting your team, you're left with a KG team that's worse than the T-wolves.

I don't know about Carter or McGrady, they're in the East, the only time I could judge how good they are is if they played a legit Western Conference team in the Finals. That's yet to happen so I can't really judge them. I will say that guards are a different story since most of the time they play outside.

When I say puss out, I'm talking about players that thrive inside, but then suddenly think they're jumpshooters when they see a shotblocker on the other team. If Webber had a Mo Taylor like jumpshot, then that's acceptable, but he doesn't, he bricks his outside shot a good portion of the time.

Well I'm pretty confident we'll be in the playoffs next year if everyone stays healthy, so we don't need that puss Chris Webber...;)

My reasoning for not wanting Webber is he'd be the #1 option on this team. He's not worthy of being #1 on a team, sure he looks good in the regular season or against the worst defensive team in the playoffs, but when he actually plays a good defensive team, he will fall apart. When your #1 option falls apart on you, then you have 0 chance at winning the ring. You might want the Jazz life of always participating in the playoffs and losing, but I want to build a championship team.

I think Taylor could be a very nice weapon on the offensive side with that shot. Of course he got injured and with the reports of him being fat I'm less confident of his future, but I'll still wait to actually see that he's 330 lbs before I pass judgement.

I realize that Webber's the better player, but I believe Taylor fits this team the best. We need to open up the inside for our guards to penetrate, and we need big men that can hit a jumper consistently. We don't need a #1 option that's afraid of going inside when we need him the most...

Would he be the first option? I don't see why we wouldn't run a Dallas-like offense where there really is no first option. With Webber/Francis/Mobley all on the court, you have inside & outside options everywhere. That screws with a defense in ways that just having good outside or good inside players can't do (Taylor's a good outside player).

I really like Taylor and what he can bring to the team. That said, Webber would have still been phenomenally better. Taylor isn't a major inside threat -- Webber is, even if he doesn't always use it. That opens up things for the guards in a way that Taylor can't.

The thing about the Dallas offense is all of those players have range. If Webber had a reliable outside shot that he could hit in pressure situations, then I wouldn't be so hard on the guy.

OK....well since Webber has a higher FG% for his career than Mo does, what is your next argument? It seems to me that Mo bricks a larger portion of his shots than Webber does.

And we all know FG% is the perfect measurement to determine if a guy's a good shooter...

Cato hit 58% of his baskets this year, he's a pretty good shooter huh?

    What's your next argument?
