You can argue that Boris Diaw's return on investment was better than anyone else's.

The Rockets need to find value

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boris_Diaw

On July 12, 2012, Diaw re-signed with the Spurs[6] to a reported two-year, $9.2 million deal. On June 15, 2014, Diaw won his first NBA championship after the Spurs defeated the Miami Heat 4-1 in the 2014 NBA Finals. He was inserted into the starting lineup beginning with Game 3, and he led all players in the series in assists (29) and was second in rebound (43) behind teammate Tim Duncan (50). Diaw averaged 35 minutes a game in the Finals, an increase of over 10 minutes from the regular season.[7]

No we don't. I've always felt Morey should have been adding pieces like McRoberts, Blake, etc. instead of swinging for the fences. Had he done that and kept CP on the cheap, we would be a guaranteed much better team

Yes we do. Spurs have pop. We have dumb ass mchale.

Only hope is to build a roster good enough to overcome poor coaching.

Ryan Anderson would be a nice piece though if the Asik trade can be re-worked.

I just don't know if I could justify matching Parsons without a Bosh or Melo committed.

You can say that for anybody on that team, but you can't ignore the spurs got value out of their free agent.

Since we don't have a top tier coach, we probably need to front load with talent.

If we had a top tier basketball mind either from the NBA, college or abroad, we'd have a chance at it.

IE, not a likely blueprint for success as long as McHale is the HC.

Well maybe Morey and Les will finally wise up and change out coaches. I mean that appears to be the biggest no brainer to every observer AND is probably the easiest fix. No lack of talented coaches available who would love to lead a houston team.

They also have the best coach in the game and constructed roster to support tony Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili

The difference is the Spurs are the current champions and the Rockets were a first-round exit with Parsons. And they certainly didn't make any other moves to improve.

Wait...so let me get this straight tinman. After praising Morey like you did and how he was a GOAT GM, you didn't know how closely he held his 3rd star prophecy and stargazing in general? What you're proposing directly opposes Morey's philosophy and falls in line with the people that have criticized him over it. If you've come over the right side, by all means thats a great thing...just wanted to make sure you were aware.

That's because the Spurs have Gregg Popovich. We don't have a great coach.
