If Gary doesn't develop a 3pt shot he'll be outta here even before the second wink in a wink-wink.

There's a wink-wink deal I have with bballholic where he makes up some nonsense, I ask him a question about it, then he just ignores the question and continues posting more nonsense.

Mavericks sign Pierre Jackson to non-wink-wink deal. Would have liked to see this dude in place of Ennis but the impact on our record is probably negligble at this point.

Quincy Acy has good 3 pt range, rebounding skills, and great shot blocking instincts despite being 6'7". He lacks lateral quickness and speed. Ball handling is lacking in running the break.

One standout of the night is Manny Harris who has a good soft shooting touch, great quickness. He dropped 30 in 3 quarters before finishing with 40+. Good court instincts.

Both Acy and Harris were the go to players on offense for the Texas Legends. I can also see Tony Wroton get on a NBA roster as well. But again this is a one game sample size.

Thanks for your time & efforts Inchan. Excellent scouting report. Lateral speed of Acy is a concern of mine.
I was hoping losing about 5 pounds would help Acy. One of the knocks on Acy and Wroten during their
NBA stints was shooting from the perimeter. Hopefully they are taking advantage of their D-league time
by improving on needed skills. Unfortunately, as @kevtse said in post #5, most players we speak of here...
will be better than Mr. Brewer. I believe an individual on ClutchFans mentioned that Brewer found
the "Golden Ticket" which means he is guaranteed 15-20 mins a game for the rest of his life.......
    .....and ours.

Still intrigued by Perry Jones III and Raphieal Putney. Both have better lateral movement and ball handling than Acy and can also drain the three. Both also love to run and dunk (both 6-10 or taller) and are excellent shot blockers. Like Acy too but he's another short 4.

Worth taking a look at those players....I was thinking Acy at SF. If he can shoot the 3. He had to play PF
in his NBA career because he really couldn't shoot from the perimeter. I saw on the box score Acy had 5
    blocks/17 pts/ 2-3 from 3/ 4 TO's (uh-oh). I wouldn't need him to handle the ball in the post much. I'm going
to try to watch the game on Facebook when it's available. It was noted in an earlier post of Pitney having
an undisclosed drug issue? *Sidenote on Acy per basketball-reference.com Acy is usually
under 0.9 (3-pt attempts per game until this past preseason w/Mavs) in his career. He was
1.2/game in attempts from 3 during the preseason. Now as a focus......over 3 per game.

For those of you wondering about Putney, after he didn't make the cut with the Cavs, he's played for a couple of foreign teams. He's apparently currently playing in the Italian leagues : http://basketball.eurobasket.com/team/Italy/Pasta-Reggia-JuveCaserta/283 He's also about to turn 27 in April. I didn't realize he was that old. For some reason, I thought he was 24 or something.

Ok. That clears up posts #37 & #38. Until it comes out later that drugs may have been involved at some
    time in his basketball career.

Well the fact he was suspended from the Vipers/DLeague for using some type of illegal substance is pretty much fact. What he used is not as certain : http://www.themonitor.com/sports/ri...cle_7028315c-f796-11e5-aa8c-33f80338ef2a.html

I was just stating it may be why the Rockets and other teams may have shied away from him afterwards.

BTW, does anyone know what's up with PJ Hairston on the Vipers? They signed him, but he hasn't played a minute since the end of November just like Taylor from the looks of it. Weird stuff going on with Hairston and Taylor. Maybe Hairston is injured, too?

Yeah I mentioned that in an earlier post. He had seemed to find a 3 point shot, too. Then I read he injured his groin or something. He had played 41 minutes I think in the game prior. Taylor was the best player on the team and to that point was a top 2-5 D-League player.

Fair enough. Meant to post that all NBA front offices are aware of any infraction(s). Beasley had multiple
offenses.....and yet the Rockets gave him a chance (thanks to Yao Ming's sources). Worth keeping a watch
    on Putney.....thanks for the info.

Rockets like Milos. Many NBA teams do. But he is not contractually available until the summer. Bev and Milos are good friends.
