I really want Texas to play BYU in the tourney somehow. I would like to see a real scoring threat like Fredette go against this defense.
Jimmer wouldn't stand a chance on Balbay Island. I'll be at the game, but would much rather be at DayGlow. I can only imagine the atmosphere during Dance with the Devil... pure bliss and ecstasy. Enjoy it, man.
Texas with their usual feisty D so far.... English has knocked down a couple of 3's for Mizzou. I really love Thompson's game though...
I absolutely love watching this team play. They are incredibly active on both sides, and when they are patient in the offense and don't force up bad shots they are very tough to beat.
Gary Johnson is really turning into a threat.... it's just so fun to watch this team as UTAllTheWay noted.
Mizzou trying to hang in there, but Texas will pull away. I'm a little worried about Monday's game with only 1 day off in between. Mizzou makes you work with the press and they way they run. Hopefully, Texas won't be too worn out after this one to take on the Aggies.
If there is one clear flaw with this team right now, it's FT shooting. They're going to have to improve on it some how... especially before the tournament. They can't afford horrid FT shooting games.
I'm sure am glad our defense is solid.. cuz our FT shooting is horrible.. can't want to se Kabongo handle the rock next year.. that should help.. our FT% on monday is gonna have to be a whole lot better!! Good tuff it out win.. I wonder if we will move to #5 in the rankings
I kinda hope we get screwed... so it's a driving factor in trying to beat A&M in CS again. As tough as Lawrence was... I think College Station is even tougher. I can't wait for that game but I'm nervous about it.
Lots of people are talking about this team as a top 3 type team. I don't think there's any doubt that we jump SDSU, Villanova, and UConn.
I agree.. playing @ A&M is gonna be tuff... mainly because they smashed em @ Austin.. and they might take them lightly... should be a tuff win, but RB should be n that @$$
I don't think taking them lightly will be an issue. This team is smart enough to know what's ahead of them and not dwell on the past. That said, it's going to be the toughest environment they'll face this season. If they have a top 5 ranking before their name, that's going to only make it louder. A win there solidifies them as a potential #1 seed, but it also puts an even larger target on their backs...much larger than the typical "TEXAS" target does.
Rick Barnes desveres coach of the year. He's got this squad giving astounding effort, and Jordan Hamilton has matured beyond my wildest dreams.
Yet another convincing win over a top-25 team. The Drum was uncharacteristically loud last night... couldn't believe my ears at times during the 2nd half. I don't ever want this season to end. Barnes likely loses Hamilton and Thompson to the Draft. Joseph may be another early entry candidate if he finishes strong. Johnson, Balbay, and Hill all graduate. Looks like J'Covan and incoming freshman Myck Kabongo are going to be the go-to guys next season...
I'm hopeing we don't lose Thompson the draft, i think he would improve his draft stock by a lot it he stays another year.. and Thompson/Joseph/Kabongo (all from Findlay Prep) would make a nice combo
Polls will be interesting to see. Everyone in the top 10 except Ohio State, Kansas, and Texas lost this week. I think Texas is #4 or #5 tomorrow, but there's a good chance they are pretty close to #2 in total votes. Opens up a lot of doors for them to move up if they can beat A&M tomorrow.
now add #3 Duke to the loss list. lets hope the horns great play holds up and doesnt falter in the next few months going into march madness.
