yeah brah rice all the way brah, i loved how you told those damn liberal longhorns how classless they are by association them to as "classless aggys" to prove that us ricers are more classy than them longhorns, yeah brah Rice-houston branch is uber good bwahahahhhhhahahahahahahahah.
lol... What does this have to do with losing? REGARDLESS OF THE OUTCOME... I consider the NCAA (unlike the NBA) to be full of class all around among players and coaches. I had respect for Kansas in that dept... the amount of trash talk they throw out to initiate **** is really overlooked. Again, I don't know how you came up with your conclusion... must've been highly drunk and stupid. Typical though coming from you, you can't expect much from a befuddled poster.
I'm happy with the 4 seed. Great possible match up in the 2nd round with Arizona. The only thing that sucks is the regional final being in Anaheim but at least they have Tulsa.
Lower seed than I'd have guessed. But we're paired with the least proven #1 and #2 seeds (Duke and San Diego State). #3 UConn and #5 Arizona will be difficult, though hopefully #3 UConn is exhausted from their Big East crazy run and loses in the first weekend.
I'm the biggest UT homer but the match-up against Oakland smells of an upset. I don't think the "home-court" advantage in Tulsa will be as advantageous to the Horns as everyone has suggested. Based on last years results and the relative youth of this team I think UT will get bounced in the first game or in the second game against presumably Arizona. Just my two cents - flame away.
Florida getting a 2-seed is down right laughable. Also, how in the hell did Georgia get a 10-seed? They were widely considered a bubble team, yet they easily made it in to the field. The selection committee gave far too much credit to the SEC. One more thing, Colorado got jobbed.
This. Even Barkley agrees! The conspiracy theorist in me says CBS SEC bias... And I'm not a fan of the first round matchup with Oakland at all...
CBS does show a majority of the games, and they do have a TV contract w/ SEC... and maybe, just maybe, just put a little pressure on the selection committee... But yeah, you can't really explain a Florida as 2 seed... who did they beat? Vandy twice? K State when they struggled early in the season? and weren't even close in games against Ohio State and UK (2x). and lol @ loss to Jacksonville. As for head to head comparison, Texas started champ week #10, lost in the conf. final to #2 by 12. Florida started the week #12, lost in the conf. final to #16 by 16.... I'm done b****ing
I fully agree with you though. Florida should be a 4. The Horns were going to vary between 2 and 3... because of all the changes between ND, SDSU, UNC, Duke, etc. But, at the end of the day, I don't mind the spot or the region.
Texas got absolutely screwed by the committee. 4th seed are you $h!tting me? now granted, they drew favorable matchups for the first 2 games, but still, a 4 seed is an absolute screw job. And this coming from an "aggy" btw who did Rice, the champion of the city of Houston, draw in the first round of the tourney? Is there a chance they make a deep run in the tourney this year? OH WAIT!
Ignore the troll, people. The seeding was surprising. Even many of the "experts" thought Texas and Kentucky got hosed. It does take pressure off being a higher seed and maybe Texas can play a little more loosely now. I'm not too concerned about Oakland or Arizona/Memphis. I think Duke is very beatable, too. I'd love a shot at SDSU. I wouldn't be surprised, however, for UT to get knocked out in the 3rd round to the winner of AZ or Memphis.
He's not a troll. Trolls in this thread have to fans of GOOD basketball programs. Anyway. Final 4 folks.
^^This. When someone has to brag about their school being the champ of the city of Houston.....well, as the man himself put it.....nuff said.
Horns D doing ok so far...but Bader (guard for Oakland) is killing us from deep... 29-19 early...JCB and Tristan playing well
Thompson with 6 blocks already. Horns can't pull away, though. Clearly a better team, but they're having some issues finishing. Oakland is trying to give them the game.
Escaped with a victory. I would agree with what Barkley and Greg Anthony were saying at halftime... Texas was playing with talent and not execution, they can't continue to play that way... especially not in the next game if they happen to play a team like Arizona.
