Dammit, Horns! I had a shot at winning THREE different pools if UT made it to the final game. Killed me!

Oh, and to answer Doc Robert -- I have been pretty unimpressed by Gibson this year, but I've only seen a handful of Texas games.

So much for winning the national title football/basketball thingie.

Congrats to LSU, that was a well fought game, Big Baby and Thomas were unbelievable today. They've beaten Duke and Texas in the last 3 days, the #1 and #2 schools to start the season. I don't see any team leftover that has enough bigs to compete with these 2 guys, their perimeter defenders are very good as well.

Good season for Texas though. Hopefully this will make Aldridge stay for another year, he took way too many fade aways today. Hopefully he'll come back next year, a Abrams-Gibson-Durant-Tucker-Aldridge lineup would be very nice.

Sigh, settling for being the reigning national champs in football/baseball. :(

If Aldridge, Gibson, and Tucker stay...an Aldridge-Tucker-Durant frontline backed by Mike Williams, with Abrams, Gibson, and Augustin in the backcourt rotation would be quite nice.

Aldridge was exposed today in a tough matchup. I actually wonder if the average NBA power forward could get position like Davis was doing today.... Aldridge would probably do better against Nowitski!

Eldridge better not even think about going pro the way he was worked over by Davis and Thomas for LSU. Those guys are beasts!

It kinda makes you wonder why Davis isn't averaging 25ppg 13rpg for the season. He is easily the biggest guy on the court, the way he manhandled the Texas bigs, you would think he is a lottery pick for sure.

Thomas looked equally impressive, he is a energy guy who has unbelievable athleticism. I really like the way this guy plays but guys like Stro looked equally good if not better.

Big Baby Davis is another Tractor Traylor disaster waiting to happen. He's damned good in college, but at 6'9, he cannot be carrying ~300 lbs on him to be effective.

Longhorns take me almost right up to the Astros. Playing for a chance to go to the Final Four was great and we lost to a team catching lightning in a bottle. Aldridge also needs to learn that if you try a fadeaway jumper 90% of the time, the defense will be able to stop you.

Go LSU, that part of the country could really use some happiness at this point. The only way I'm rooting against them is if George Mason miraculously makes it to the championship game.

When a guy is 6'9, 310 lbs as a sophomore in college, just imagine what he'll weigh in his mid-20s. Big Baby will be battling weight problems for his entire life without bariatric surgery. I'm not joking. Your metabolism gets slower as you age and just maintaining 300 lbs will be a huge challenge for him. I bet he weighs near 400 lbs before age 30. His biggest decisions in life won't be about the NBA; it will be maintaining his health.

Not to stereotype or say anything really rude, but my guess is that coming from Louisianna where food is king, Davis doesn't have the slightest idea about nutrition. I'm sure that whatever team he goes to will give him a crash course. Barkley managed to slim down during his NBA career. It is going to be up to him to decide if he wants to be an all-star, or an aging Kemp.

BTW, I noticed that Gibson said he is 100% sure that he isn't going to enter the draft. Was there a question? My guess is that he would not be drafted if he entered. He has MAJOR work to do to be either a point guard or a shooting guard at the next level.... and I think his point guard prospects may be impossible. He better start learning to shoot and bulking up so he could be a backup NBA shooting guard. I predict Gibson stays all four years.

I meant to quote the part about so much for the basketball champ. .oh well. .or whatever it was

Even if Aldridge does leave, they should be okay. They've proven they can recruit so I'm sure they have more people coming that are talented

We're the best program.. when we want to be.

But if we're not playing somebody with a big name or a ranking, we might as well phone it in :(

    Anyway, go Tigers!

Funny thing about LSU is the last time I heard about them was when they lost to U of H, then in the tournament they beat Duke and Texas, strange.

Believe it or not, there were questions about him entering the draft after last season.
