That summer of '02 was like waiting for the great unknown, along with all the accompanying mystery and speculative intrigue.

This summer of '04 will be like waiting for Christmas in July, feverishly anticipating a great windfall of presents.

Which offseason ('02 vs. '04) is more interminably long?

Definately summer of 02 seemed longer b/c all we had was foreign footage and Yao's workout clip. We didn't really know anything except he was tall, chinese, and could shoot good for a big man. With Mcgrady we KNOW what we are getting, we've seen it for years now. Now its just anticipating who to get to build around the Duo (More defense--Snow, or 3 pt shooting--Barry)

I added 2003, because there was also a lot of high expectations coming into last season, with the arrival of the new taskmaster, JVG.

Man, we've had a lot to look forward to in the last few years. Never a dull offseason with this team.
