I think our PF position is fine with Scola. Once he gets another month under the belt or so, I think he will be a consistent contributor to the team. I don't mind Chuck coming off the bench.

We need to address the PG situation if things don't turn around and become more consistent there.

So no to Okafur for PF. He really doesn't do much more than Scola and he has more NBA experience under his belt.

Three magic words that make *any* free agent acquisition or S/T at least possible as long as Yao is here.

    "Chinese Shoe Contract"

I think we need to get a better backup center and that we are good to go at powerforward; as long as RA starts Scola and gives him 30 plus minutes a game. Chuck Hayes will be great for us off the bench as a stopper and hustle player. But when Yao sits down, we need a backup Center that can hit a mid range jumper to help spread the floor for our bench players who are mostly slashers and penetrators, as they are now.

I still think we should pursue Chris Webber as a back up Center to Yao. At least talk to him. Once he see this team start to gel, it will be his best option for a chance to be a contributor and help a team get to the finals. Maybe then he will take less money so that we can afford him. We can make room by just giving away Wafer and Novak to anyone that will take them! If Steve can't score 30 plus points a game in the D-league, he is not going to make it on this team ever in the NBA as a consistent contributor.
