cuz if youve paid attention and understood, the celtics are old, breaking down and are in decline mode, they arent the same team they used to be and they were playing the 2nd nite of a back to back.. the mavs shoulda easily taken advantage of that scenario and beaten them if theyre supposedly serious threats to knock off the lakers like everyone is proclaiming them to do.. its more to it than jus lookin at their records and drawing an ill-advised comment, only ppl who doesnt know any better does that
no hes saying how competetive the lakers were w/o Kobe and barely lost to the celtics, its not an excuse but they were at a disadvantage without kobe and if u dont think that was an impressive loss then u have too much of a clue
Old or not, they have a better defense than Dallas...hell, it's one of the best in the league...did you not notice that when they played us? They also beat teams a lot more convincingly as apparent by their much better differential 4.3 vs. 2.0 ...It is the reason why they have a similiar record to Dallas, both are 3rd in their conference...except Dallas is more offensive minded. Who cares if it was back to back? Veteran teams defeat other teams on back to backs all the time... Bottomline, they're a good team...so are the Mavs, one beat the other one...big deal...it's going to happen. To LOL at a team because they lost to another team of the same quality is kind of silly...but oh well... And people wonder why we have bad karma...
Yeah I hate the mavs too, but I'm not going to get all giddy if they lose to a very good team...if they were blown out by the wizards, then yeah that would be funny. I don't know, maybe my bar is a bit higher than some...I mean, why don't we have a thread everytime Dirk scores under his season average or whenever Terry has 4 or more turnovers?
