If I’m a team like the Knicks with 10 wins possibly because I I know there is talent throughout the draft. Kuzma was drafted something like 27th and Josh Hart 30th. Fultz was drafted first pick....so top picks don’t guarantee success. Cavs number one pick of Bennett turned into mush. Knicks, Cavs (11 wins), Bulls (11 wins) need multiple picks because they have multiple needs. Cavs are reported to want a multitude of picks so they can sell the team and leave the owner with a team with a bright future of youthful talent (no free agents care to go there....cough.....cough). NFL teams offer to sell top 3 picks all the time for multitude of picks. I believe RGIII was Washington giving up their future in picks for him. Zion could be a bust. Looks a little over weight at the college level. Who knows, he may hit the gym and get with a trainer full time and eat well and develop a chiseled body once pro. What I’m saying is that Mr.Scareface can’t guarantee the Rockets would propel to top two teams through the duration of multiple first round picks spread out over years separated (each by a year)......keeping the pick somewhere around 29th pick in the draft..... and I can’t guarantee that the Rockets will fall on hard times during that same span of time. Odds are that Harden will eventually break down and that AD is always hurt and misses stretches of games every year. Knicks have Porzingis and Knox to fill PF and SF roles and may want to trade back out of the slot they start at. They need to figure out the Porzingis issue. They may figure to get a PG around pick number 10 or so (Pels are currently 12th in the West and are having a fire sale......?needing multitude of picks?) Teams at the top of the draft may not need a Zion or Barrett.....PF or SF. It’s what the situation dictates.
All I know is Anthony Davis is on the market and we have a very small chance of getting him. It’s upsetting.
