BBCE authenticated the first edition Pokemon cards but it all turns out to be fake. Probably the biggest scam in the trading card community. And now every card that has been graded by BBCE is in doubt. Big yikes.
Didn't he used to make around $10-$15 million or something from his YouTube channels? I wonder if the spike in hits will cover this? lol. Not sure how that works.
Unfortunate, if not for him tanking the reputation of BBC Exchange I'd think this was all fake in order to promote sales of his new energy drink.
Think it's real because like someone said, an entire company just screwed up their brand. He made some classic mistakes, like buying something that was schill bid, but you still should be able trust the grading company. And yet, the grading company doesn't even guarantee their work like PSA does. Just all around ****ed job, but he's so famous it won't matter to him in the long run. What it does show you is how a couple of scammers can take advantage of someone who wants to believe in something so bad they don't do their homework.
The other article I said indicated that the seller was at the opening and would be refunding the money, so it seems like a win-win for Paul. Can't be bothered to actually watch any videos on it, so apologies if my info is wrong
Maybe, but unlikely. Other than finance YouTubers most don't make that much money from YouTube (with respect to their massive following). It's the brand deals and slapping their name on products that actually makes them rich. Just skimming his channel it looks like he has a clothing line, a sports drink, he's tried music, acting, and of course boxing. YouTube or any social media is really more of a sales funnel for other products.
Also, it's time for computer grading. What I don't like about the current system is that even if the grading company is solid, they can still fall into bad patterns like saying, there's too many 10's out there so let's not grade as many 10's. That's wrong. Sorry. A 10 is a 10. It doesn't matter. Let the computer grade the card. That will totally wake everyone up to how imperfect their cards actually are, but it will be the truth, and that's what is important.
i'm proud to say i still don't know what logan paul does that gave him fame in youtube (tiktok?). wasn't he the one that got into a fight with nate robinson and knocked him out, and got away clean without any charges?
