This idea that Trump is being railroaded while other aren’t for the same thing ignores that Trump had multiple opportunities to address it and avoid prosecution.

This is probably the most serious case against Trump but it’s also the one he could’ve easily avoided.

I disagree. I think leaving trump out of the clinker so he can vilify his opponents is a terrific scenario for Democrats in 2024.
After Biden wins a second term? We'll see.

It is very very unlikely Trump goes to jail before the 2024 election. His defense is going to drag this out and he might not even go to trial before the election.

Even if the trial happens swiftly and he is convicted I still don’t think he actually will be jailed. Most likely he will be charged a fine and be given probation.

That works for me. Not the fine and probation, but the rest of it.

Just to note Texiera, the airman on MA is charged for similar crimes. Holding classified material when he shouldn’t have been.

a mere fine and probation after all this and an investigation that has taken this long would be crazy to me

the man got hit with 7 counts including conspiracy, obstruction, and espionage…sounds like the charges they hit mob bosses with

I guess the question will be, as president, could he declassify and possess these docs. That separates him from senator biden, candidate Clinton, and VP pence.

Not as ex President he couldn’t. There also now recording of him saying he knew he was holding classified material after he had left office.

man, that question was answered long ago…u Trumpers need to just stop it

Trump did not go through the proper process to declassify the documents…that’s why he was out here basically saying dumb sh*t like he could declassify them with his mind

I don't think you have to be a "trumper" to have questions about these recent developments.

What Airman Texiera did went far beyond "holding classified material when he shouldn’t have been," Judo. He deliberately released massive amounts of highly classified Defense Department documents, a broad range of material that not only damaged both the defense and the foreign policy of our country, but also impacted our allies and friends, as well as possibly putting lives in danger, in my opinion. I hope the traitor spends a very large percentage of the rest of his life in a federal prison.

Yes that he did but just pointing out that reasonable prosecutors can and have gone after cases of mishandling of classified material.

While Trump didn’t post material in a discord server his motivations don’t seem that different than Texiera’s. In his own words he said he could hold them to show how important he was and as souvenirs.
