How can you not even take a better picture when you are out there actively looking for it? One very far away picture is it?
I am not saying this picture is legit or the Loch Ness monster is real, but this line of reasoning is ridiculous. On a massive lake where the captain would be looking all around for a lifeform that appears to come for air very briefly before going back under and you think if the camera operator can't get a perfectly focused high resolution shot in that split instant then it isn't legit? There are whales that we've confirmed that exist that have been spotted less than 5 times in history and just this past year got caught on camera for the first time.
