Does Yao read posts here or is there anyone around Yao who reads post here. I think we have been giving good suggestions but Yao did not change. I agree with the people who said Yao should get himself ejected for several times and throw out bad words once in a while.
These are the calls I just do not understand. Like you said. What the hell is he supposed to do? I'd be willing to bet that even if he goes straight up and down and a player runs in to him, it will be a foul on Yao atleast 70 percent of the time. Again, What the hell is he supposed to do ? Get out of the way and let the guy lay it in? Why should he even be on the floor then. At that point he's just a target for guys to run into and get to the FT line.
I dont know, but either adelman or yao is going to get fined. here are some quotes: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/6294742.html But like the article says, it's same old same old. I have no faith in the david stern or his refs. ****ing atrocious, ****ing atrocious.
I have said it before and I will say it again: Yao got to get mad and challenge the refs for unfair fouls to get a technical. Keep doing it whenever there is unfair foul again until he's got ejected. Do it 1-2 times to arouse widespread attention, otherwise the refs would not back off and will keep on calling unfair fouls on Yao.
those quotes from yao and adelman ain't strong enough. like a foul, if you're gonna get fined, put them up strong. both adelman and yao are nice gentlemen... sigh...
I think the problem is psychological. How many times have you heard annoncers outside of houston comment on the rockets and when Yao falls to the ground its almost a joke. If Yao takes contact and goes down, you hear one of three things: 1. "Yao is injured" 2. "Yao should be embarassed, he's too big to flop like that." 3. "Yao is out of gas. He can't keep up with this pace." Notice the difference when a smaller player goes to the floor. You may hear: 1. "Good aggressive play" 2."How was that not a foul?" 3. "he goes down but he just pops back up. what a tough play by ___" Yao will never get the benefit of the doubt because he's percieved as a clumbsy, overgrown man playing with skilled, athletic ball players. He will never be officiated fairly as just another ball player. It really pisses me off.
swear to god nba stated a rule that says floppers will be fined this season during last summer but don't know what exactly do they call floppers
The worst crap about it is people call Yao soft. Yao tries to play aggressive, but then gets penalized. So then what happens the next few minutes he eases up. Everyone says "Yao is being soft again" no he's trying his best not to get some BS call...then Yao tries to be aggressive again and pow...foul trouble. The refs are basically forcing Yao to be soft. That is all there is to it. I'm not saying the NBA has something against Yao, I'm not a conspiracy theorist but it's just getting silly now.
what's interesting is yao's quote on shaq yao needs to stop kissing shaq's ass ... seriously that's weak. that's why they're calling these fouls on him.. so we're playing the suns next and he HAD to make sure that shaq know he doesn't think he's a flopper, that they're on the same side. they're friends and ****.. and crap like sending shaq christmas cards, saying its an honor to play him 100 times etc... and now this. i'm so disappointed in our franchise player
