I think Llull was just waiting for America to have a catastrophic downslide in politics looming over the NBA and a pandemic of some kind where no one can be near you before he decided to come over. Good news Llull! It's here!
So, with Llull Draft Rights gone, does Luxury Tax Savings finally get its own hotel room on road trips?
i was a little disheartened yesterday to see 'Llull's rights' get moved without so much as an appreciation thread... not enough to do something about it myself mind you... but still... lol Being used in most every conceivable poopoo platter of mediocre assets that were gonna be traded for a star - 'Llull's rights' was a constant stalwart! The annual speculation of whether 'Llull's rights' would ever turn into an actual person... After more than a decade, it seems only appropriate with all the changeover this off season that Lull's rights would also move on... lol
Unrequited love. The rights was but a promise of a potential NBA job. After a few years it should have been clear that he had little interest in coming. From his perspective, Rockets were pretty loaded in guards position, so playing time is probably was his top concern. Rockets org held out hope that he'd get bored in his current situation, or his euro situation changed in dynamics that made him considered coming here. Dude was just happy is his home country. Adios y buena suerte (goodbye and good luck)
