    Sorry about opening new thread.

But the other two or three threads had become a pissing ground where nobody really bother to read.

Since this live feed will probably close in a few hours, I start a new thread so more people can be aware of it.

    The live feed:
    http://www.cnn.com/video/live/live.html?stream=stream2

It is especially interesting to watch CNN's live feed with CNN's reporting side by side.

NBC link is more like programming.

The CNN live feed has no programming, it is just a live camera. The CNN live feed is much more real.

If you use firefox, you will need a plugin.

No plugin is needed for internet explorer.

    The run started.

This is like high drama. San Francisco is playing hide and seek with the protesters.

The NBC livestream eventually figured out the route. But CNN still have no clue. Follow the NBC livestream.

Seeing the Olympic torch being snuck around and surrounded by a military escort makes me sad. I remember seeing shots during other Olympics of people cheering the torch as it came around.

I certainly think the aggressive protestors who've tried to extinguish it are to blame but I also blame the stubborn PRC government.

    Wow, interesting.

People in China is watching the same NBC live cast right now. See the following link:
    http://www.anti-cnn.com/forum/cn/thread-11108-1-1.html

Too many to read, but most Chinese think it is great victory over the Tibetan protesters. They seem to give the credit to the big Chinese American supporters showed up in San Francisco.

Interesting to see how people can arrive at very different conclusions watching the same thing.

actually, this event made me really proud. i realize how unite we are, no matter which part of the world we are in. no longer are the people naive like 89. i think we are heading into the right direction. but we have to realize that we can't become radical and blind. so we need to calm down after the event is over. and start working to improve the country for real. :D

Wow, did anybody else hear that?

It is at about 5:50pm and the NBC livestream reporter just report that starting last night, all this planned changes were determined by the Chinese government. US state department, Department of Justice, and the San Francisco police department are all working in conjunction with the Chinese government. But the route plans and all the changes were pretty much dictated by the Chinese government operators.

I hope eventually some other authority can either confirm or deny this. This is just amazing!

Inside the torch is a miniature nuke. Everyone play hot potato.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The Olympic torch relay got under way in San Francisco — and the flame promptly vanished. With thousands of protesters gathered to condemn China's human rights policies, protesters had lined the streets Wednesday waiting for the torch relay to begin. As the ceremony began, the first torchbearer took the Olympic flame from a lantern brought to the stage and held it aloft before running into a warehouse. A motorcycle escort departed, but the torchbearer was nowhere in sight.

    More interesting stuff.

Looks like the following images are all the rages in China now:

That little handicapped girl is regarded as a national hero in China now.

While American thinks of it as a courageous Tibetan going against the mighty China. Chinese thought of it as a courageous handicapped Chinese girl against the Tibetan thug in a foreign land.
