Thanks, you saved me the trouble of doing that! ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS (Took out a few "A"s, a few "U"s and a couple "G"s .... - Clutch) [Note: This message has been edited by Administrator]
Yea, I get ESPN magazine. Anyway...I hope we're not going at Ostertag either. He's almost another Big Continent, but not as productive and more Ts. Ostertag might end up in Chicago, maybe for a pick. ------------------ "Steve is good. Steve is real good." -- Cleveland's rookie point guard Andre Miller on Rocket rookie point Steve Francis
minor annoyance. Don't string together huge words without spaces. This bbs does not break long words. So the page just widens to the length of the word, and makes us scroll to the right to read posts. ROXTXIA...do you mind chopping down your long word. And Behad, could you delete that long word in your quote. thx, just a minor annoyance. [This message has been edited by heypartner (edited January 15, 2001).]

ok, i'll go out on the limb. it's shaq. hak + shan. gives the lakers a good 3 who won't ask kobe for the ball. gives the lakers a center who'll play d and rebound for kobe. gives the lakers a center who will give them enough cap room this summer to pursue c-webb and pair him w/kobe. flame on if you want. that's the deal, IMO. or it could be chuck nevitt... ------------------
Doc mentioned an earthquake right? Well, maybe we're about to sign some great rebounder out of El Salvador. ------------------
DAng!!! I go to bed with just three pages of posts in this thread..and when I get off work 12 hours later....7!!! but I see that at least 90% of the posts were nothing more than DarylWard jacking up his post count your all missing the obvious point...Earthquake does not mean LA.... it means Vancouver isn't Vancouver also in that region of the San Andres fault?? /just more idle speculation ------------------ no sig here
CLUTCH!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU b*stard LIAR!!!!!! You told them it was Thomas Hamilton and Venson Hamilton and Rodman for Moochie. " I trusted you!! I trusted you!! " - James Dean The Movie ------------------ Wait, there is another...
HE'S BACK!!! THE DOC IS BACK!!! Please give us more hints....I can't go on any longer....I'm dying very slowly.... ------------------ Jazzkiller
Hi there, Doc. hehehe. I hope no one thinks that the player we are getting has anything to do with James Dean. At this point anything Doc says is believed to be a clue. But then again, who am i to say it ISN'T? ------------------ "I have posted so much that what I say must be true"
Looks like Doc's shamelessly trying to pad his post count again... ------------------ "Thirty-seven?" -Randall, Clerks www.clutchtown.com
Doc Rocket, Is it true that you guys haven't sprung for a vcr yet? Is it true that Donnell Harvey is involved in the trade? He (like a million other ball players) has a few career highs against the Rockets. Do the Rockets only pursue players that play well against them? ------------------ We're going to stay together until something happens, if something happens. - Sidney Lowe on Shareef's career in Vancouver. Damn, I'm down in Galveston a couple of days without a computer while all hell has broken loose, here. It was kinda of foggy, but I could of swore I saw Chris Dudley jogging on the seawall. ------------------

Ok, so we know Hakeem's involved... and the quote now means Mo or Shandon (a little now a lot later type of contracts about to go to the sea?). Or maybe even both? Doc-How about some hints on who's coming towards us? ------------------ The Serious Police are watching. Follow the rules or be assimilated. Shandon is underrated.
::GrumbleGrumble:: Dammit. I'm gone for a day or so and now there is this ridiculously long thread. Well, I read page 7, anyway. Just a thought about Dream ending up in LA, wouldn't that be a trip? The three greatest centers (Wilt, Kareem, and Hakeem) of all time ending their careers in LA. I would just hope that Dream could win one more title if he is traded. ------------------ "Salt Lake City, Utah. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villany." --Olaju-Won Kenobi, to young jedi Steve (Fran)'chiseWalker
Hey guys, I'm surprised that no one has run with this hint that they gave us. Clutch & Doc Rocket keep indicating that this "hand shake deal" will go down mid week of this week, so I started thinking that it might mean that one of the players involved might not be tradeable until mid week of this week. With that thought in mind, I went back to RealGM (because I don't have the intelligence to figure it out on my own) & simulated a two team trade by using Dream as the Rockets player & choosing every player on each team at the same time to see which ones couldn't be traded & when they could. I found several teams that had players that couldn't be traded until the end of next week, one team that had a player that couldn't be traded until Saturday the 20th, & ONE team that had a player that couldn't be traded until this Wednesday the 17th or should I say, MIDWEEK. Okay, I know this is really thin, but what else do we have to do with our time but speculate. That team was Minnesota & the player is Sam Jacobson, a 6'4" guard. Now we all know that we don't need another guard, so I attempted to do a trade (imagine that) & this works. Houston sends Dream/Walt to Minnesota. Minnesota sends Garnett/Jacobson to Houston. We would probably have to send some draft picks also. Now, before you crucify me, it's just a thought from someone that has no idea what he's talking about & spends way too much time trying to read between the lines. After all, Clutch did come back & state that it was a deal going down, not neccesarily a trade. Come on midweek. ------------------
didn't you already post that hottoddie? any particular reasons you think that kg has to leave minnesota? btw, I'll vote Republican for the next 20 years if the Rockets get KG (sickest thing I could think of, sorry). ------------------ We're going to stay together until something happens, if something happens. - Sidney Lowe on Shareef's career in Vancouver.
